Memberyeah great call – I grew up with civ II and loved it. Many many hours of my school holidays wasted lol!
I have every version actually, Ill give it a test!
jez
Memberlol I guess buying both is one solution! One for alternative days of the week!

MemberOne of the function keys is termed “Easy Speed up Manager” – very slick lol! This just cycles between a slow low noise and power setting (its quiet anyway tbh) and a Max performance mode which allocates all resources to the current open program.
But back to the point, I’m afraid I don’t spot anything when entering the NC10 BIOS (F2 to view) associated it with overclocking.

MemberFor what its worth, mine went green very quickly – I think I had it charged for 2 hours. I then used it on the mains for a bit and left it charging. The manual states that amber = charge and green = charged, it also says ensure a full charge on first use.
Logically therefore if its gone green its fully charged and ready to go – but part of me wanted to leave it on anyway. Id think that if it is green it is not actually charging.

MemberHi, thanks for stopping by doug. First off it’s always been my ambition to run a niche owners site so I am happy to chat about anything which doesnt confilct with that ambition! I have picked up that a few things need improving and I am already moving on a couple of the things you mention!
I do actually own blogercise.com and I have an extensive hosting account so that’s no probs! Should things get busier then I can easily upscale, switching domains is a 301 script and a couple of clicks in cpanel away! Actually I am expecting things to get busier as I have negotiated a couple of guest posts on prominent netbook sites! News on that will follow!
I am considering a new domain though. Im still in two minds, I feel like Im selling out a bit by upscaling – this was always intended to be an “owners” site by an owner and genuine enthusiast. And then do I go for a name that is “NC10” specific only to find out the 3g version is the NC11 or the MC10 lol!
This will get delivered to a gmail account I check regularly: contact page! Improved contact details on the way.
I look forward to chatting, any advice and feed back appreciated but like I say, I will be retaining my own site! Rest assured I am excited about pushing on and doing the NC10 community justice so no need to worry there!

Yay! Congrats!!jez
MemberI was more interested in the aspireoneuser site, I might learn from some of whats there. It looks pretty smart I thought.
The Aspire One was on my wish list a few months ago and I got close to buying one. The thing that put me off was the smaller size. For me the extra inch made all the difference and innuendo aside when I tried it out I just didnt warm to it.

MemberThanks for that. I think I’ll stick to my VGA enabled TV and then when we upgrade the “main” TV ensure that it has such a port.

MemberWith regards to the zoom – yes you can use multi touch to zoom in and out on applications (the same as ctrl + mouse wheel i think?). As pointed out above this is where you use two fingers to pinch.
Ive not used it much but I have witnessed my browser text growing and shrinking so it does work!

I’m hoping that the NC10 is your best buy to date?!
