Hello everyboy and have a nice 2010!
I’m new to your side , have gotten a new N140 and am running into problems.
I don’t like the win7 starter and don’t want to buy a higher version. So would like to add a second OS to the N140.
I managed to burn a bootable usb stick but when i want to start by this it is not recognized. This way I looked to the bios but ( Version 03CU) couldn’t find where to set the boot possibilities.
Does anybody now if there is a hidden item where i can set booting from usb.
I burned a SD-card as well , it wasn’t recognized.
How can I mount my linux to the N140, I don’t want to take it in parts connect the harddisk to my desktop add the OS and rebuild everything.
Will an external usb-cddrive be recognized at boot up?Regards and pegging for help

In the bios select the boot menu and press return.
The use F5/F6 to move USB HDD to top of boot priority list.
Press F10 to save and exit.Hope this helps

you are right, i have found it just now.It is a submenue from boot section. I could select it by pressing return directly on the boot section.Just like you told me I read it but didn’t understand 🙂
Thank you very much,it sometimes needs a small ping and you find the solution yourself:-)Thanks
genpopJanuary 2, 2010 at 2:52 pm #208555jeepers01Participantgenpop – Your welcome and glad it’s all sorted now.
I have to say that the sub menu is not that obvious and Samsung could perhaps do a better job with the menu system to make the option clearer 🙂

But grub mounted my the recovery system as an own system and i can’t find the /grub/menu.lst where I normally configure my boot screen and my wireless lan will not connect correctly even i installed this realtec driver mentioned in the main section of this forum.regards

That discussion is old, the machine too… and me more and more (77) !
I cloned the disk of my N140 withe AOEMEI Backupper. I set in the bios the boot order as said in that discussion.
The boot is done on the external hdd and I see the Microsoft Corporation screen immediatly followed by an error blue screen
I run the chkdsk : no bad sectors. I run an antivirus on the original too : nothing bad !
Is someone able to help me ? Thanks a lot !
