Memberway beyond my capability lol! But people do do these kinds of mods to their netbooks! For example this blog sometimes has notes about how to do it. Keep an eye out for an NC10 mod lol!

MemberI would be very very tempted to try something like this if it is ever released. I think it’s really the only hardware mod I would actually like to have and would attempt myself.

Memberyeah it would be real cool, I was watching someone playing with their iTouch on the way home as I was clicking to my unopened NC10(!) and was thinking how easy it looked for him to scroll through everything. Very slick. For sure the next netbook we buy will have this type of thing as standard (if like me you wont be buying another for a good few years!)

MemberCheck out the link – for the “same” thing on an Acer Aspire One and I think Asus EEE also. Perhaps same manufacturers will see the success of the Samsung and offer a similar thing?

MemberWell it should happen soon, the Eee pc and MSI Wind have this mod, so only time will tell.

MemberAgreed – I get the impression that the NC10 is going to be pretty popular. Hits to this site have gone from 0 to 500 a day in just one week!

MemberYou can follow this thread for some clues.
I’m tempted to order this http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/211541982/4_wire_touch_screen_10_2.html?pn=1&pt=10&total=15&cids=&tracelog=detailtop12907&newId=211541982#page960 but not sure I want to void the warranty this quickly! But this looks to be the perfect fit for any 10.2″ netbook

MemberId love to have touchscreen that would be awesome, im just too scared of doing major surgery on my netbook lol!
I think that will be my trigger to upgrade – when touchscreen netbooks are standard…

MemberI’m interested too so if someone comes across a 10″ touch screen kit for the NC10…there are kits for the Asus EEEPC but only for the 7″ and 9″ ones, no kits available yet for 10″. Hopefully it will come soon.

MemberI’ve done the touch screen mod on EEE PC’s, 701 and 900. And for me they are not worth the hassle unless you plan on adding SATNAV. If these netbooks could be turned into tablets then a touch screen would be a must.
Save yourself the trouble and expense.November 23, 2008 at 12:10 am #168689hef
Memberreally, the only reason i can see for doing this is to look cool infront of your pals.
it’s not the sort of thing i can see having masses of actual useable purpose on a tiny laptop. -
