MemberJust installed iTunes and hooked up my iPod, everything seems to work fine.
A member reported a problem playing movies bought from the iTunes store, but oddly enough TV shows are fine. Here’s the thread if you want to check it out:

MemberHi Mark. 🙂 It sounds like a netbook would be absolutely ideal for you, the purposes you wish to use it for are exactly what they are designed for.
A 15″ notebook would obviously be more powerful, but sounds like overkill for your needs, plus it wouldn’t be anywhere near as portable.
You’ll need to install your Office apps via either a networked or portable CD/DVD drive, unless Microsoft lets you download them. I haven’t installed iTunes yet, but I’ll give it a go in a minute and let you know if there’s any problems. Chatting away on IM clients is particularly good on the NC10 because of the generous keyboard size – I got used to touch-typing on it very quickly.
Personally, I don’t think the upgrade to 2Gb is necessary in your case unless you intend to be multi-tasking or want to upgrade to Vista.
Hope this gives you a start. 🙂

MemberI’ve just tested this and yes, it happens for me too.
Some members here have mentioned installing touchpad drivers meant for other netbooks successfully (one of the eeePC models I believe). I don’t know if that would fix this problem, but it might be worth a shot.

MemberA few utilities that might make Chrome a bit more appealing.
First up is Greasemetal, an alternative to Greasemonkey that allows you to run scripts with Chrome.:
http://greasemetal.31tools.comSecond is this selection of bookmarklets, basic substitutes for popular FF plugins:

MemberNope, I had no problem taking it back at all. I actually changed it for a slightly cheaper mouse and they didn’t try to force me to go for an identical replacement. If you’ve got a PC World nearby, definitely worth giving it a go. 🙂
Oh BTW, if you’re possibly considering the VX Revolution, PC World has it for £29.35 web-only price, but you can reserve and collect in-store. No offers on the Memory Mouse unfortunately.

MemberI have a blue and while it is glossy, I personally think the concern over fingerprints is a bit over-hyped. Yes, it does pick them up, but they aren’t glaringly obvious and are easy to wipe away.
Some people have concerns about the white looking more grubby as it picks up dirt. This should only really be a problem if you go around with filthy hands and don’t give it a wipe if a smudge appears.
Basically, I’d say don’t worry about the negative aspects of either colour, just pick the one that you like most. Generally concerns come from people who haven’t seen one and when they do, they find the problems are nowhere near as bad as they thought. I don’t think I’ve seen a single owner complain about fingerprints or grubbiness etc. 🙂

MemberI suspect it’s this company which isn’t an official Samsung e-tailer, but deals exclusively in Samsung products:

MemberI like the look of the brushed aluminium casing.
The article says it has a two-cell battery – that doesn’t sound very good, is it a misprint? The price isn’t bad, but it is right up at the top of the scale and presumably that’s the Linux flavour.

MemberCheers Rsaeire, I’ve been using the VX Revolution for a couple of hours now and I absolutely love it. 🙂

MemberThanks for this, I was thinking of giving it a go sometime. Looks surprisingly good on such a small display.
BTW, I made your images a teeny bit smaller as they were stretching the message area ever so slightly. 🙂

MemberThere’s quite a few here, though you will need to use a utility to patch your uxtheme.dll file if you want to use them:

Have all you run this .exe file?I am scared it could make the NC10 noiser.
Any ideas if this BIOS update could affect the fan?
[/quote1228156485]I haven’t noticed any change to fan noise since upgrading yesterday. In fact, I was playing a seek-and-find game for about 2 hours, the fan kicked in towards the end and I remember thinking how incredibly quiet it was.
