I’ve just ordered a black NC10 with 2GB of RAM for £321.75 including £17 next day delivery. They are also available in white.
If you prefer 1GB of RAM, they have black or white in stock at £304.50 including next day delivery.
The blue models are pre order only and are more expensive at £359.70 and £342.45 respectively including delivery.December 1, 2008 at 3:12 pm #173059
That’s pretty good for those looking for the 2gb RAM. The alternative is to get an upgraded one from eBay for a premium price.December 1, 2008 at 4:07 pm #173064hefMember
yeah it’s good that they are aware we want options on these. not a bad price at all for it too.
it’s funny that samsung themseleves are selling them next day delivery cheaper than 90% of the market.December 1, 2008 at 4:29 pm #173062RsaeireMember
Are you guys talking about a Samsung authorised dealer here or an official Samsung UK online store?December 1, 2008 at 6:43 pm #173067OneTimeMember
I just stuck 2GB in mine…extremely easy to do 😀December 1, 2008 at 8:04 pm #173060

I assumed an official store but I’ll be darned if I can google it :SDecember 1, 2008 at 8:40 pm #173063BeckyMember
I suspect it’s this company which isn’t an official Samsung e-tailer, but deals exclusively in Samsung products:December 1, 2008 at 11:08 pm #173065dinoMember
it’s not an official website.
I understand that official dealers are limited to 1GB if they want to sell it pre-loaded with XP because of rules microsoft have for netbooks:
they actually only just raised the cap on harddrives to 160GB! I can’t believe how they limit technology in this way – it’s absurd and just keeps it profitable for MS. But then again, hardware manufacturers haven’t come out with XP-incompatible netbooks that are completely maxed out on specifications!December 2, 2008 at 8:41 am #173068
I tried to put the link in my original post but for some reason it didn’t work.
It is direct from Samsung on their official website:December 2, 2008 at 9:39 am #173066WilliamYZFMember
I find it a little strange that this “Official” Retailer is selling 2Gb versions if what was stated earlier is true about memory limits.
I couldn’t find a link from the samsung.co.uk site but when I choose “Notebooks” and input that dealers postcode on Samsung’s “Where to Buy” the only suggested retailers for that location are Curry’s Digital and Micro Anvika.
I could indeed be wrong, but I am unsure whether KL Computers are “official”, whether that would be a reason to not purchase from them, I don’t know!December 2, 2008 at 9:54 am #173069
Apologies if I’ve mislead anyone, looks like they might not be as official as I first thought.
Anyway, its a good price for a 2GB RAM version and saves me the bother of upgrading the RAM – it shoudl be delivered today, I’ll update this evening/tomorrow.December 2, 2008 at 10:00 am #173061
Doesn’t look like an official Samsung site to me? Check the contact page:Quote:Samsung Laptop
KL Computers Ltd
Worth checking out if anyone is purchasing on this basis.
edit: ^^ ah thanks for the update, posted before I saw that.
