MemberI’ve just ordered a black NC10 with 2GB of RAM for £321.75 including £17 next day delivery. They are also available in white.
If you prefer 1GB of RAM, they have black or white in stock at £304.50 including next day delivery.
The blue models are pre order only and are more expensive at £359.70 and £342.45 respectively including delivery.December 1, 2008 at 3:12 pm #173059jez
MemberThat’s pretty good for those looking for the 2gb RAM. The alternative is to get an upgraded one from eBay for a premium price.

Memberyeah it’s good that they are aware we want options on these. not a bad price at all for it too.
it’s funny that samsung themseleves are selling them next day delivery cheaper than 90% of the market.

MemberI suspect it’s this company which isn’t an official Samsung e-tailer, but deals exclusively in Samsung products:

Memberit’s not an official website.
I understand that official dealers are limited to 1GB if they want to sell it pre-loaded with XP because of rules microsoft have for netbooks:
http://www.techspot.com/news/31996-microsoft-retains-1gb-ram-limit-on-netbooks.html
they actually only just raised the cap on harddrives to 160GB! I can’t believe how they limit technology in this way – it’s absurd and just keeps it profitable for MS. But then again, hardware manufacturers haven’t come out with XP-incompatible netbooks that are completely maxed out on specifications!

MemberI tried to put the link in my original post but for some reason it didn’t work.
It is direct from Samsung on their official website:

MemberI find it a little strange that this “Official” Retailer is selling 2Gb versions if what was stated earlier is true about memory limits.
I couldn’t find a link from the samsung.co.uk site but when I choose “Notebooks” and input that dealers postcode on Samsung’s “Where to Buy” the only suggested retailers for that location are Curry’s Digital and Micro Anvika.
I could indeed be wrong, but I am unsure whether KL Computers are “official”, whether that would be a reason to not purchase from them, I don’t know!

MemberApologies if I’ve mislead anyone, looks like they might not be as official as I first thought.
Anyway, its a good price for a 2GB RAM version and saves me the bother of upgrading the RAM – it shoudl be delivered today, I’ll update this evening/tomorrow.

MemberDoesn’t look like an official Samsung site to me? Check the contact page:
