Where did you get the carbon fiber vinyl ?
jrprichMemberI also upgraded to XP Pro as well by just running XP Pro from a USB drive and selecting “upgrade”. All went well. I was missing the NTFS security on files and folders.
jrprichMemberYes, thanks for the assist. I also upgraded to XP Pro as well by just running XP Pro from a USB drive and selecting “upgrade”. All went well. I was missing the NTFS security on files and folders.
jrprichMemberOK,
Seems something was corrupted when D was created originally. Once I deleted the D partition and recreated and reformatted it I was able to run Easeus Partition Manager and delete D and expand C as I wanted to.
jrprichMember$ 449 shipped from Buy.com
1gb Ram, Blue, 160gb HD
jrprichMemberHmmm, “Windows could not complete the format” is what I get on a full reformat of D.
So I deleted the D partition and recreated it…….now I will try to format D againjrprichMemberI tried Partition Magic 8 but it will not even start up……gives errors
I am reformatting D now after running chkdsk /f on both C and D
jrprichMemberYes, I did reboot several times. The Sammy does not seem to have any other issues in use.
jrprichMemberSee relevant screen shots from my Sammy below
jrprichMemberHatachi HD, No 3rd party apps. Easeus Partition Manager says it is a Bad Disk in the main window…….but she works just fine
jrprichMemberI also have two 70gb partitions…….no options at first boot. I tried both Partition Magic and Easeus Partition Manager but they both throw errors and will not operate on the Sammy HD.
Any ideas ?
Jim
