Hello all,
I was wondering where you bought your US Samsung NC10 and the total cost of purchasing it –including taxes and shipping but before using any delayed/mail-in rebates.
I think I might have just enough money to get my hands on one, but I need the best possible deal to do it.
thanks.

Current prices are $478 and if you sign up for their credit card you get $30 off the price and once you get the card you can just cancel if you want or just use it for other purchases cause its 3% off all Amazon.com items if you use the card.
December 19, 2008 at 5:46 am #176392chaostwisterMemberI just bought mine from J&R with free shipping (it may have been only today) but I used Microsoft cash back to get 35 bucks chopped off the price
December 19, 2008 at 7:19 am #176382WrReIaTdEMemberchaostwister, did you have to pay the full price before getting the 35 off?
December 19, 2008 at 9:23 am #176381jezMemberIf you go with Amazon.com, check out some handy links on where to buy page
December 19, 2008 at 12:09 pm #176384PsychNC10MemberI got mine at Newegg, 469 with free shipping.
Word of advice to Lnacho, canceling credit cards really messes up your credit so the $30 savings is not worth the result of canceling a card
December 19, 2008 at 12:34 pm #176391RedfishMemberI got mine at Buy.com. I paid $469 with Buy.com coupon and free shipping. I got the blue and have no problems to date. Also the unit had latest drivers except for the Bios update to .03. Tested the screen and NO BLOTCHES or anything else.
The unit was shipped promptly and arrived in three days. I was happy with the transaction. It was my first time doing business with them. I wanted the Blue and they had it.

I did have to pay full price up front, but still its as cheap as your gonna find it anywhere else up front
December 21, 2008 at 2:51 am #176394ResetMemberNormally, I always go with Amazon.com or Newegg but you might try to wait until the MS/Ebay/Paypal Cashback deal is back up to 25 or 30% off. I got mine from Buy.com’s Ebay listing and will be getting 25% of it back.
That’s probably the best deal for a new NC10, but you have to time it correctly and jump through some hoops. If you want instant gratification, then Amazon.com or Newegg or Buy.com’s regular website are all comparable.
December 21, 2008 at 4:09 am #176389jrprichMember$ 449 shipped from Buy.com
1gb Ram, Blue, 160gb HD
December 21, 2008 at 5:37 pm #176385mauwongMemberI paid $510 (no taxes and free shipping) through Ebay (KTIUSA) but received an instant cash back for $153 (30% on Black Friday) from Microsoft/Live.com. My net then is $357.
As Reset has suggested, you have to time it well, because e-bay sellers tend to increase their prices when the cashback percentage increases.
December 22, 2008 at 1:44 am #176383WrReIaTdEMemberI’m curious about the Black Card Buy.com offers with the $30 discount. There’s got to be strings attached. What are they?
Also, has anyone purchased an NC10 from this place:
http://www.silmyard.com/tag_samsung-nc10/
sorry about the link. I’m not code literate.$384.00 for a white NC10 seems fishy.
December 23, 2008 at 1:50 am #176395marooned99MemberPurchased from Amazon.com
$478.99 + 3.99 (One day shipping)
Total: $482.98December 26, 2008 at 5:39 am #176388culebracutMemberI got mine at the University Bookstore in Seattle, for $499. They don’t accept returns, however, so you only have the warranty to fall back on if there is a problem. I went in to look at a Lenovo T400 and walked out with the NC10 (blue).

[/quote1230311418]And that was where I bought mine several weeks ago. It was nice to try before buying, and they said they would exchange any defective model within 30 days. There are some small benefits when you have the chance to buy local.
