Hmmm I have a spare internal DVD writer knocking about as well as a couple of old IDE HDDs, could be a pretty flexible solution

You can get external drive bays for around $10-20 here in the States – would think you guys could do the same.

Nice idea, I do actually have a couple of old drives lying around. For £20 I’d be tempted to get pay more for a external drive or stick to shared drive. But if maplin made it a little cheaper I’d prob jump on it.

If you already have a laptop slim DVD drive, as many do, try this cheap enclosure and for $20 US you have your slim external DVD drive

I have had one of those types of adapter for a while and they work great just wonder if NC10 has enough power to drive a 3.5″ device though ? I have only ever used mine on a desktop to test HDD’s

Edit: Thinking about it mine comes with a PSU so I dont know why I wrote the above ! lol ! I need a Holiday !

i use the top link one with a old ide dvd rom drive, works a treat for installing all me progs.

had the device for a while now, use it mainly for HardDrives.
