MemberI still want to just get hold of a spare battery, but no one seems to sell them… there is this on ebay
but not really a battery, more a big powersource and the price is quite high too.
A spare replacement battery for about £45 would do nicely! I am over in Asia soon and will keep and eye open for one.

MemberI would think that batteries will become more and more available in time. I suppose demand will increase once the existing batteries begin to wear out.
But a spare will be handy on long trips away from power sockets! Maybe 9-cell ones will come along too 🙂

I’d really be interested in a 9 cell battery, only if it doesn’t compromise the look of the NC10. I have seen some ugly batteries for other netbooks, like the Acer Aspire One’s 6 cell, that makes the netbook look just wrong.December 8, 2008 at 2:58 pm #174236norm
MemberJust spotted 6-cells now on Ebay – all colours, genuine Samsung, shipping from China, £74.
Sorry, no time to link, just search on Ebay…

Memberjesus, a third of the cost of the entire machine for a second battery?
screw that, i’ll build my own spare thanks. the cells only cost like £3.75 each.
December 9, 2008 at 4:51 pm #174234Theo
MemberThat would be $108us dollars, so currently £74 if we get back (ha, ha) to £1 = $2 it would be just over £50

MemberSpare 6-cell battery for the Samsung NC10 can also be ordered on www.samsungparts.com:
Samsung NC10 spare 6-cell battery (white)
Partnumber / modelnumber: BA43-00183A
It doesn’t say but this is supposed to be the WHITE color.
Specification: P32R04-12-H01,winchester,Li-ion,
Price as of now: $188.42 a “wee” bit overpriced is an understatement. However, my guess is that the battery is the most expensive part of the Samsung NC10 🙂No quick delivery as it seems, at least 4 weeks it says on the homepage.
UPDATE: In Korea the spare 6-cell battery for the NC10 costs 95000 won which is about $66.

MemberI dare say it wont be long before people start opening the casing and replacing the cells with alternatives.
The right connector on a flylead from a sealed lead acid under the car seat springs to mind if my batts start giving up lol

MemberLets hope the aftermarket companies don’t do the same thing they did for the EEE 901 and create a 10 cell battery…..
Ridiculous me thinks.

Memberdabs has NC10 batteries on its website now. Oddly the blue is only £50, but the white and black are twice that price!
