Yeah it is true that there shouldn’t be any massive draw to the NC20 for NC10 owners – unless someone has found the NC10 just too small to use!
If anyone gets them both I look forward to the comparison!
I only noticed the other day mine is made by Hitachi. Seems quiet and efficient to me. I think unless the drive seems problematic it shouldn’t be something most people should worry about. At this price my expectation were never that high anyway ;)!

Note on Voucher Code sites

Voucher code and cash back sites seem to get all the attention which means ‘content’ sites like this find it harder to pay for themselves. It’s annoying because those guys rake in the cash for setting up some automated feeds whilst genuine enthusiasts struggle to keep their sites going!
Up to you of course, I don’t blame anyone for using cash back sites – every little helps these days :D! There is some more info here.

Out of interest, what are the advantages of using something like this? Is it purely to have access to the information when you are not online?
Do the ports run at different speeds then – I’ve never noticed that! Let us know how the recording goes. I think someone else reported back success but with a different brand of TV tuner.
This is something that I keep meaning to try too, a cheapish way to get a portable telly and potential HD recorder :)!

Nice poll. Not sure. I liked the ECS G10IL (rebranded as an Advent) but think it would have been a WInd in the end. The NC10 came along just in time ;)!
2. Included WiFi is more than enough to stream Hi res video from iPlayer etc. The bottleneck is my broadband connection!
3.You get used to using the page up and down keys, it’s not a big problem imo. The trackpad also has a mouse wheel function for scrolling up and down, but I prefer page up/page down myself.Hi Mymy, FYI Dixons links will “time out” as they include the browser SessionID in the URL. You can’t just cut and paste them I’m afraid – I’m sure they’ll fix it as it makes their session tracking/reporting a nightmare Im sure. This also allows people to continue your session, not a big deal but can cause probs!

Is that a good deal? I think so. Amazon was hovering just over £300 iirc. I’m sure other forum members will chip if they know a better one.

I would agree that often the biggest limiter when using “pro” software is the small screen. That said, if you are taking it somewhere that has full size screens around then you can just plug it in.
