MemberJust thought it would be interesting…
I would like to keep the range to netbooks currently in the market, so this targets all current NC10 owners
To kick off, I’d choose the HP 1000 – keyboard and the build quality would have been (just) enough to overcome my longing for long battery life of the NC10. The Eee would have been second if not for the right Shift key…
And no, I am not a market researcher ๐

ParticipantDell Mini 9 for me, if it wasn’t for the problem I had that I couldn’t get Dell to ship to a different address from my billing address I would have one right now.
Reasons include fairly large keyboard (although with horrible layout), ability to run OS X easier and best of all no moving parts (silent + no hard drive to damage).

MemberI would have chose the HP Mini-note 1000. I was also interested in the Sony VAIO UX, but was put off by the higher than usual costs due to the device being pretty much out of stock except for Japan. In addition, the huge shipping costs meant that I was put off even more. I decided on the NC10 and Iรขโฌโขve been happy with my choice ever since.

MemberI was set to buy the original HP 2133 – I liked the aluminium case, and large screen format. I was put off by the original processor… and then when they came out with the HP 1000 they had gone back to plastic … of course by that time Samsung had launched the NC-10 … and I am very happy with it.

MemberI was going to get the Aspire One 120GB version but the day I went to collect it in PC World I noticed the NC10 online (a couple of months before it was due to go onsale) so I waited ๐

MemberNice poll. Not sure. I liked the ECS G10IL (rebranded as an Advent) but think it would have been a WInd in the end. The NC10 came along just in time ;)!

MemberI was looking at the 120GB Win XP version of the Aspire One before I found the NC10

MemberIt was the Acer One that got me looking at netbooks but after all my research it woudl have been the Eee 901 or the Dell Mini 9. TBH I wanted a 10″ screen after playing with a few and after seeing the NC10 on the PC World site a couple of months before it came out it was all ways going to be the NC10.
The Wind may have been the one but I have never seen one here in the UK. I have seen the rebadged Advent ones, but I MSI Wind not a sniff! not sure why as they seem a big player in the market and it has a lot going for it!

MemberNow I would have preordered the Asus EEE PC 1000HE. Before that I probably would have purchased a wind, and been unsatisfied due to the battery life. Glad I went with the NC10.

MemberI was all set to buy the AA1, but noticed that the Samsung had just been released.
Funnily enough, the thing that nearly put me off the Samsung was that it was only supplied with Windows XP. I thought that a netbook was much better supplied with a Linux OS ๐

MemberBut of course you would have found out Linux can be installed anytime ๐

[/quote1235328036]I have the 1000he and it has epic battery life. It’s a little husky though.
