MemberThere is some useful information here about looking after your battery.
What I try to do…. not think about it too much and enjoy using your netbook. The battery is there for a reason… in my opinion those that disconnect it and put it in a plastic bag in the freezer are probably taking it a bit too far :-).

MemberMerely Instaling the software on your computer will not slow down the NC10.
The dongles you refer to have different “data allowances”. In this case 12gb or 3gb. Anything you use to the internet connection for will use up some of the allowance. So whether you choose 12gb or 3gb has nothing to do with speed, but more to do with how much you will be using the internet on your NC10.

MemberHe says in the video the screen res is 1024 x 576 but in the article it says 1024 x 758.
He also says it has a ExpressCard 34 slot but the article says ExpressCard 24!
Somebody call in quality control…. shocking.

Not heard of that problem, although it does sound very similar to the screen blotches.

MemberWelcome to the site Gorse.
The VGA connection will only transmit the picture.
For sound you will need to make sure you TV accepts a sound input (either stereo line in or left and right phono jacks) and buy the correct cable to connect to the NC10. Either that, or use some other external speakers.

Can i buy drivers for my nc10 for vista?
Am a newbie so know nothing!
[/quote1232967454]
There are drivers available for the NC10 that work with Vista, you don’t have to buy them they are available to download from the internet. If you look in the Vista sub-forum there are threads there which have more information about the correct drivers to install. However, it is worth pointing out that XP Home is the only Operating System that is supported by Samsung on the NC10. If you really are a beginner then you need to consider carefully whether changing to Vista is the right choice to make as you will be foregoing any technical support if something goes wrong.

Hi guys. Thanks for post. But how do one keep the wifi off, so that it do not turn on everytime the computer is switched on?

Welcome to the site ElRazur. I think you can set this option in one of the BIOS screens.adatay92
MemberWell Samsung have now updated their downloads page here to include all sorts of drivers and software for the NC20 so it looks like its release is imminent.

MemberI’m not sure if you’re trying to get it into 1024×768 or get out of it. Either way this should help.
Go to Start
Control Panel
Display
Settings
Click Advanced
Go to Monitor Tab
Untick “Hide modes that this monitor can’t display”
Press OK
You should now be able to drag the slider to whatever resolution you want.adatay92
MemberIt makes no difference when you install the RAM. I suggest you boot it up first to ensure it is fully working before you open it up and replace the RAM.
