I’ve stuck with the original XP install and have had no problems with it. I still actually have (now expired!) McAfee running – but I really need to remove that!
I’ve been careful not to clutter up my NC10 with unnecessary things but otherwise I’ve always had great start up and shut down times without further changes.
lol yeah there was quite a long and slightly argumentative thread on this a while back. There is a link to it in the FAQ area of the forum.

Mac do come up with some great stuff though. Would love to see their effort and what innovation they can bring to the netbook class.
So I guess from the name that this means you can only view the screen from one very specific angle?
Awesome idea! I want one! I always feel so self conscious on the train. If anyone knows any more about an NC10 one please let us know!
Let us know what you think of it when you get it. I’ll write up a charge page in the accessories area. Would be useful to find out whether the buy went well.
We had some chat on this before – with respect to ebay sellers distributing 2gb NC10s for a premium. I think it well depend on whether you don’t want the hassle and (minor) risk of doing it yourself and whether the extra cost is worth that to you. I guess that £35 did include the RAM and some branded sticks can cost about that much! Although the value ones are about £15.

Freddy, the two cables you have listed are exactly what I use and it works very well. I have no idea if that is “the best” way of connecting though.
Welcome Spit, afaik you are our first NC20 owner! Like I’ve just posted on the netbookreview thread I’ll summarise some of your thoughts and link back to that original thread :).
I now bizarrely find myself craving an NC20 even though I have no need for one. Although it would enable to me to contribue to more discussion – hmmmm!
