Hi everyone. Been an owner of an NC10 here in the US for about a month and I am extremely happy with it. I can’t believe some of the things this little computer is able to do. I run Windows 7 on it after reading some of the guides here and it’s a joy to use.
One thing I’ve been wondering about is if companies like a 3M or a Targus or others have considered making LCD privacy filters for our NC10’s. I got a 3M filter for my Dell XPS M1530 since I tend to work in public places (coffee shops, libraries, etc), and I’d like to do the same for my NC10 (without having to cut a larger filter to fit the screen; thought about doing that but didn’t…)
Thanks for any insight 🙂
I think its just a matter of time until 3M brings up a Netbook filter range.
So far i havent seen any Filters specially produced for 10.x Displays
So I guess from the name that this means you can only view the screen from one very specific angle?
Awesome idea! I want one! I always feel so self conscious on the train. If anyone knows any more about an NC10 one please let us know!
Correct, if you view the laptop screen from an angle at either side its just black.
p.s. above link just to show you how it works, NOT the correct NC10 size
Thanks for that fcat! I really like this idea! Me want!
PS. I shortened the link – they can break the theme on this cms unfortunately
Great idea – seems a bit pricey, but if security of data is a major concern then it’s a justifiable cost.
Perhaps we could suggest that government departments buy some for their laptops…..oh…..and encryption software for their USB sticks !lol
