January 27, 2009 at 4:54 pm in reply to: Looking to Buy NC10 – SSD, XP install/recover, support… #181426fcat MemberNo stickers, no seals nothgin at all! just see the other thread on the screws in the back of the case and make sure you use the right size screwdriver! fcat MemberYup shes a huge fan,
it was THE best holiday weve had, Hawaii is fantastic, its a long flight etc but worth going, id highly recomend it, were gonna go back in the summer this year again and hopefully see more sights:)fcat Memberheres what i found out through google: Go start – run and type msconfig Then in the box that pops up click on the start up tab. Then find BTTRAY and untick the box. (Your bluetooth will still work) This seems to only be an SP2 problem as well so if you r still running sp1 then you prbably havent had this problem.
…”fcat MemberJust download this little program http://webpages.charter.net/krumsick/ When you open it up click on the teach menu, select full teach, it then opens up a small window, press scan or soemthgin like that to start then you press the key you want to move and then the key you want to replace it with, then click remap, thats it!! It says you the changes wont come into effect till you re start however you can just log off and then back on and it works fine. fcat MemberI remapped the key to the left of the right hand shift key, to make this Shift aswell, so now it doesnt matter if i hit the Shift or what was the key which i remapped to the key below the Esc key!! This works great! fcat Member[quote1232904742=s162000]

WOW indeed, i just got back to the UK from 3 weeks in Hawaii and did ALL the Lost sites, saw lots of spoilers for season 5, even re created the picture of Desmond and penny with me and my girl on Honolulu harbour:) if your a fan you’ll know what i mean
[/quote1232741832]Holy s**t! Respect to you my friend! The locations they use are absolutely stunning. I didn’t realise they leave the sets out though. You must have found some treasures! [/quote1232904742] It was like wandering round in the show!! All the beaches in hawaii are public property, there is a security guy oin the beach but he was real nice and showed us round. Most of the locations are spread around the island of Ohau and just on public propery, we didnt trespass or anything like that at all. it was fantastic to see the places, few more pics below the plane wreckage pieces!:
    Drug dealers plane
  Ekos church
Hurlys camper van!! from season 5 filming.
This is the view back of the island from the pier when juliette arrived and the submarine was docked
  the tempest hatch!
The place where michael saw his father apear!! (THIS was spooky when we went here, the instant we saw this place it stood out like a mile!) And of course we happened to bump into Hurly while i was playing on his golf course!:) fcat MemberI had win XP and win 7 on a dual boot, i used the guide here to remove Win 7 and it worked great! How NOT to upgrade your hard drive! #181234fcat MemberIm curious how you did the trasfer of the 160gb drive to the new one, what software you used and a brief outline of how you did it would be helpfull January 24, 2009 at 5:09 pm in reply to: [NC10]Beware cheap screws! How NOT to upgrade your hard drive! #181233fcat MemberI think this might be more of a case of you using the wrogn screwdriver, not all cross drives posidrives etc are the same size and just seeing a cross head doesnt mean any old cros bit will fit! i test held 4 different bits against the screws on mine till i found the correct one, had i not just put the tools in the car i could tell you what number driver bit to use! fcat MemberWOW indeed, i just got back to the UK from 3 weeks in Hawaii and did ALL the Lost sites, saw lots of spoilers for season 5, even re created the picture of Desmond and penny with me and my girl on Honolulu harbour:) if your a fan you’ll know what i mean got to see lots of the wreckage aswell as the others camp and the Losties huts on the beach!! fcat MemberI did a clean install with XP Pro and it’s fantastic
Only thing i dont have is the backup partition but its a net book and im not gonna be keeping anythgin on it that i cant replace. Just use another backup solution.fcat Memberi had Win 7 and XP pro on dual boot on my 320 drive and have uninstalled Win 7 as i thought it ran a LOT slower than XP Pro. Am curious how much difference the new wifi card made and how much it cost and where you got it ? is it a simple pull out and replace thing ? cheers fcat Membercan you give us a few details about where your using the NC10 and the problems ?, ie router in bedroom, low signal in living room, signal dropping, no signal etc etc fcat MemberNot sure on your second problem butt for the first one try downloading the touchpad driver as mentioned here: http://netbookish.com/2009/01/windows-7-beta-1-and-my-samsung-nc10.html it worked fine for my install January 21, 2009 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Anyway to install the Samsung backup software on new drive ? #180687fcat MemberJust downloaded it and when i try to install it i get the following messgae:
“There is no Samsung Recovery area on your hard disc, setup will be cancelled”Have you installed this on another HD (like im trying to) not the original one with the NC10 ? cheers
