MemberMake sure you haven’t disabled any USB host controllers in Device Manager. If so, re-enable them and your USB ports will work again.

MemberI doubt this is very easy to do. I suggest searching the web as there may be specific programs/freeware that can help you make your own screensaver.
Having said that – a screensaver serves no useful purpose these days on TFT/LCD screens.

MemberI only really use the pinch function in firefox and it works exactly as Jez described but it does take a bit of practice.
Tip – if you use Firefox and you zoom in/out using the pinch tool and then you want to get it back to normal again press Ctrl+0

MemberUnlike SD card slots on other laptops that require you to push the card in slightly to eject it, on the NC10 you can remove the blanking plate by just pulling it using the edge underneath. Similarly the cards are just slot in / pull out.

MemberI’m afraid I can’t answer your question about speeds but in terms of compatibility surely a USB flash drive wins every time? Not all laptops and very few desktops have built in SD card readers.
Having said that I guess you could carry a small SD card reader as well as the card itself.
My personal opinion would be to get a USB flash drive!

MemberSee this thread here. There might be some useful information.
Also, for your information, the Samsung Update program doesn’t work so it won’t find any updated drivers. You will need to go directly to the Samsung website to download updated utilities / drivers.

MemberThanks for the guide ben, I’m sure people will find it useful.
I believe the bit that people find most difficult is actually “networking” two computers together in the first place. Once they have done this, following your instructions should get them going with sharing a CD/DVD drive fairly quickly.

MemberIn short, yes and yes.
In my experience connecting and disconnecting the battery while a laptop is connected to AC power is absolutely fine and won’t give you any problems.
Hope that helps.
