Well I got mine today (registered this club a couple of days ago). A white – yes a white one – nc10. I love it. Looks great between the other 5 laptops i already have. That’s a lot i hear you thinking and that’s true. Bu i’m one of those gadget guys who likes to have everything. So after saving up a couple of bucks i decided to buy one. And some memory as well 😉
Will be using my NC10 basically for Internet and OneNote while visiting clients. For software development i’ll use my work laptop.
Anyhow nice to meet all these Sammy lovers here and i’m of to tune this baby with the help of this great site and it’s tips and forums. Whenever I can I will contribute my thoughts.
p.s. IE7 can it be installed (working with IE6 seems so akward when you are used to IE7)?

When you run Windows Update it should automatically update IE6 to IE7.December 30, 2008 at 7:26 pm #178049jay_2kMemberyea run the update….
why don’t you get firefox?
December 30, 2008 at 7:32 pm #178051themausmanMemberFirefox hmm how are your experiences with that? I mean side by side install doesn’t that conflict in any way?
December 30, 2008 at 7:46 pm #178047AlfiharParticipantYou can install and run both IE and Firefox on the same system with no problems. I used to have 4 or 5 different browsers installed.
December 30, 2008 at 8:11 pm #178052themausmanMemberThanks i’ll install firefox as well 🙂
Last question how can you get such a fantastic avatar what are the steps I need to take to place one in my profile?December 30, 2008 at 8:41 pm #178048AlfiharParticipantFirst you need to find (or create/edit) a picture which is 100 pixels by 100 pixels or less.
You then need to host the picture somewhere on the internet, I have some paid web hosting which I use, however there are free options. I think ImageShack should work ok,
You upload your picture to the site, you will then receive a web link.
On this site, click the “Settings” link in the top right corner, then in the Avatar section, paste the web link into the “use remote avatar” box.

[/quote1230675849]no probs, this is your thread 😉
welcome to the site.
PS. Install Chrome! Runs much quicker (imho) than Chrome! tbh everyone will have their own preference but you should definitely test a few browsers out if you havent already!
