I was until I retired an IT tech in a school supporting a network with 780 users. During that time whenever I came across MacAfee it was causing problems. It also seemed to want to totally take over the computer.
It was not easy to remove, it seemed to cling on very tenaciously, but the effort was worthwhile.
I also agree with the poster who said that there are free programs that do at least as well and often better than MacAfee.
