MemberMe and my hubby haven’t used credit cards for years. We had a spate of irresponsible spending when we first got together which we’re only now finishing paying off and that’s taught us to avoid the plastic. The only debts we have now are the mortgage and car loan, the latter we opted for a 3 year payment plan to get it out of the way nice and quickly.
As for the little luxuries in life, we’ve still been able to treat ourselves, we’ve just learned to save up for them first. It’s actually better than having a credit card as there’s never any interest to pay and you don’t get nasty letters if you can’t afford it one month. 😀

MemberGlad things are sorted for you. 🙂 Looks like you have a different hard drive model to the previous one.
I prefer buying from brick and mortar stores for that very same reason.
Have fun with your blotch-free NC10. 🙂

MemberApologies for the confusion, I’ve just edited the topic title to mention 3g. I’m not too up on the mobile technology myself. 🙂

MemberWoah! Blues are now out of stock, all 274 of them!
Same amount of blacks and whites available however.
Becky
MemberMine also appears to have stabilised at 5.8%. It was like that less than a week after purchase and it remains the same two weeks later.

MemberI was thinking of doing a colour poll, but this is better. 😀
I took the survey, but couldn’t add the manufacture date as the box is stashed away in the loft.

MemberWelcome Snook. 🙂
I know what you mean about having a huge laptop – my old one was a 17″ too and it pretty much lived on my desk. Not particularly mobile lol.
There’s been a lot of posts lately regarding the blotchy screen as people have collectively realised it’s not as isolated a problem as they initially thought it might be. That said, the majority of NC10s do seem to be fine, so please try not to feel too nervous about it. 🙂

MemberJust a quick update on this – I followed the instructions on the link I posted previously and I’m sad to say that it doesn’t work on 1024×600 displays. Once the modifications are made, the video options should offer a widescreen mode, but this area is greyed-out. I tried on my desktop machine (with a 1680×1050 display) and the option was available.
After further investigation, it seems that widescreen mode is actually native to the game and it’s not necessary to make those file edits – assuming your display is supported.
I’m going to look into this further over the next few days and see if I can force the widescreen on. I suspect it has something to do with Steam not recognising the Intel graphics, so maybe a driver update will make a difference.

MemberWishful thinking jez! 😉
Welcome to Club Blue TafKas! 🙂

MemberOuch! That’s not good – did this one come from Currys as well|? They’re certainly not allowed to pass off a used product as new.
Hope a prompt exchange is arranged for you.
Becky
MemberThat’s very impressive! How much bandwidth is all the traffic consuming?
I use Clicky for my stats, I’ve always found Google Analytics to be a bit too heavy (not to mention I hate the lack of real-time results).

MemberFollow the instructions here to enable widescreen support:

Think I might give this a try myself, assuming I can find my copy lol. I haven’t played it for ages as I’ve been waiting for Black Mesa Source.

Good choice on the blue. 😉
