MemberAh, unless anyone has any bright ideas to suggest otherwise, it looks to me like a harddisk failure.
it may be worth; C drive – right click – Properties – Maintenance – Check for Errors
Jeepers got in as I typed this… he will know more than I.

MemberShhhh… don’t tell the N20 users 😉

MemberIt looks rather like a hardware failure of whichever disk you are writing to at the time.
‘volume4’ suggests, to me anyway, that it may not be your internal harddrive. Have you an external drive attached that you are saving to?

MemberAFAIK the ‘upgrade’ only concerns Vista users, XP users will need to buy the ‘full’ versions, and install from scratch.
There is no upgrade path from XP so pricing may differ, along with the installation procedure.
Aside from that, those who have switched to 7RC seem to prefer it over XP in general.

Member@ roy_drage
I found the Sega version first, as you see. I Googled and downloaded it, it was fun but I was disappointed it was not the PC version. The PC one has some superb rock music from the likes of Soundgarden so I searched again and found 4 .rar files containing the .iso file. I also found MagicDisk which makes the .iso appear as a CD in a CD drive, so I run it from there, just as it was originally.
BTW, PC Road Rash appears as abandonware, that is not the same as Freeware, but as I do actually own a bought and paid for copy, stored in my parents’ loft I think, in my case I am allowed to run this version.
I didn’t check the Sega version, but you should check that it is actually Freeware before downloading, once you locate it.

MemberExactly. I can see North Africa from here, so I might expect a bit more fan activity than someone in the soggy, cold, grey U.K. (oops I think I said that last bit out loud).

MemberThanks s162000
The Beeb blocks web broadcasts abroad, so I didn’t think I would get to see that today. Excellent!
But do we know if he has always been the white stig?
