MemberGo to ‘My Computer’, the camera is listed there along with the drives, click on that.
My cam works fine for video chat using MSN or Skype, and at 1.3 MP it is better than the 0.3 MP offerings on some other netbooks.

MemberOK. A call to Samsung support may not necessarily mean having to send the machine to them. They would, or should, be the ones to ask for the best ideas to try.

MemberAy Caramba!
I am totally convinced now, aliens are here and putting on air displays with balloons on bits of string

MemberWow! Surely there would have to be a very good reason not to go directly for Windows 7 rather than Vista. Even MS acknowledge that Vista was not their best effort.
There are both Vista and Win 7 sections on this forum, so plenty of experience to draw on for you.

MemberOh, it looks like Jez’s solution may be the one to go for now, Samsung support. Hopefully it will be sorted quickly.

MemberWhile you are under the RAM cover try putting the original RAM back in. Any mod you have done should be the first suspect.

MemberMay be a silly question – have you pressed the connect button on the bottom of the mouse, if there is one?

MemberCool. And interesting.
Chrome is not something I would consider installing, I have used FireFox since version 1.03, it does what I want how I want, using only the add-ons I choose.

MemberHa! That one is fantastic.
I have not the slightest doubt that people do them though, there’s a lot of wasted artistic talent out there.
Visiting aliens, religion, ghosts, all cool for those who believe, and logic may be defied sometimes, but it does for my simple mind.

MemberHi JAM1971.
My NC10 boots as fast as any PC I have had, it’s not a problem with the machine. As Jayne says, it is more likely a conflict or too many programs trying to start at the same time.
2 things – Firstly I assume that you uninstalled McAfee? (see ‘Applications’ to make sure it’s all gone). And second, have you set any programs to run tests on bootup? Avast has a setting to test memory at program startup, that would slow things down I would think.

MemberMcAfee seem to have had more than their fair share of ‘upsets’. To me, they belong in the same box as Norton and AOL. Many people seem happy with these products but I try to steer well clear.
Who is going to tell Jez? I think he has said he is using the free McAfee until it expires.

NC10 video guide is here.
[/quote1246658467]Thanks Jayne, but I only mentioned my RAM upgrade because to do that on the ‘One’ involved a complete m/c strip, which is what fingerman intends, or at least case removal. I couldn’t find a vid of that on YouTube. Maybe there is one elsewhere.
