MemberHi Mike
One of ‘my’ feet fell off too. Fortunately I found it on the kitchen work surface.
So, I removed all the feet and restuck them to my NC10 using SuperGlue 🙂

MemberPerhaps you should rename the forum:
My Samsung and Other Animals 😕

MemberI would be inclined to have it sorted now, whilst it is still under warranty.

MemberTypical – you wait nearly eight hours for an answer and then three come along at the same time

MemberHi Nucleon
Check out the thread Coffee spilt on keyboard. Although the spill was coffee and the Sammy an NC20, the principle’s the same 🙂

MemberThis is easily achieved – assuming you’re running Windows XP and using Windows to manage your wireless connections:
*Right click on the ‘Wireless Network Connection’ icon in the task bar.
*Left click on ‘Status’ in the drop down menu.
*Left click on ‘Properties’ button.
*Left click on the ‘Wireless Networks’ tab.
*Double left click on the wireless network you wish to connect to automatically.
*Ensure there is a tick in the little white box next to ‘Connect even if this network is not broadcasting’.
*Left click on the ‘Connectiion’ tab.
*Ensure there is a tick in the little white box next to ‘Connect when this network is in range’.
Hope that helps 🙂TCMuffin
MemberIf you upgrade your RAM make sure you keep the original Samsung chip. If you subsequently have a problem with your NC10, Samsung Customer Services will ask you to reinstall the original RAM before they will discuss your issue.

I was trying to resize my hard drive partitions and create a new one for installing ubuntu using partition magic but did it incorrectly
[/quote1251758626]
Hi bleronI installed Ubuntu alongside Windows XP and 7 and used the Ubuntu installation process to control the partition sizes. Ubuntu uses GParted which is a sophisticated partioning tool – have you considered using this to manage your partitions 😕

MemberHi Sam
The webcam works OK in Ubuntu 9.10 – have you thought about installing this version. It seems pretty stable on my NC10.
Not sure about the internal mic, though 😕 Perhaps someone can help?

Hi angelwolf71885 – I don’t think it’s French – I’m pretty sure it’s Italian, especially as if you look at invasione’s profile, he/she is from Italy 😕TCMuffin

Just got back from Reading festival and after not having a PC all weekend have been using it all evening. Just came to charge it up and it won’t. Any idea on what may have happened? I am not on 10% power and no way to charge it or run it off the mains! It will soon be a brick 🙁

Is it not still covered by warranty 😕In which case, call Samsung Customer Services for help.

Yeah, I didn’t mean that it isn’t useful, or safe to use, or anything like that.
[/quote1251757217]
Sorry Alfihar, I didn’t mean to imply that you did – I meant only that it’s a third party battery which gives extra life away from a mains supply 🙂TCMuffin
