Speaking personally – it didn’t cross my mind that you were fishing – I just get very irritated when people ask a question and then don’t have the courtesy to say ‘Thank you’ when other people spend time and effort resolving their issue. Especially when, if people had the gumption to google, with a little bit of research, the questioner could have answered their own question.
