TCMuffin MemberAnd if you need to run XP programs on the N140 you could always upgrade Win7 Home Premium to Win7 Professional which includes WinXP Mode 😕 TCMuffin Member[quote1256743640=wilx]
I tried to add a screen shot of my power options, but it doesn’t seem to upload it. If I do preview I can see it. Not sure how to add an image

I think that you can see the image when you preview it because the image is stored locally to your computer. For more help, see this thread on Posting an image 🙂 TCMuffin MemberI did a clean install of Win7 Professional (i.e. I deleted all the existing partitions and reformatted the whole drive in NTFS format) and as a first step the installation process created a ‘System Partition’. This irritated me, so I tried to remove the system partition a couple of times but I couldn’t find a way to do it. Although it may have been possible to preformat the drive as a single partition using something like GParted and then install Win7 😕 In the end, I decided life was too short to peel mushrooms and decided to live with it 🙂 TCMuffin MemberI’ve just turned into a very mature full time MSc student – so I’m sitting here with an expensive malt chilling out before retiring 🙂 TCMuffin MemberWelcome to the forum, yorkshirelad 🙂 I cannot for the life of me think why Samsung would reduce the spec of the webcam when they’ve increased the spec of the battery, wifi, and speakers :O What are you doing Samsung 😕 TCMuffin MemberN140 every time! Matt screen with better speakers and battery life and draft-n wireless. IMO, a total no brainer unless cost is a major issue. I wonder if anything had changed between when that comment was posted in February and the release of 7.

Good point – I don’t know. However, I have done a ‘clean’ install of Win7 Professional (i.e. deleted all the existing partitions and reformatted the HDD) and I don’t see the Win7 animated boot screen 🙁 TCMuffin MemberWelcome to the forum, Ai- 🙂 I’m with Tony, I’d go for the N140 every time. The only exception would be if money was very tight – then I might be persuaded to go for the N130. Can’t seem to find the ‘Easy Resolution Manager’ on Samsung’s website.

Check out the Win7 drivers and software on the Samsung site.TCMuffin MemberWelcome to the forum, qwazew 🙂 Tony’s correct – you cannot boot from an SD card 🙁 TCMuffin MemberWelcome to the forum, Kamil 🙂 TCMuffin MemberTry the Win7 touchpad driver from the Samsung site. TCMuffin MemberWin7 Aero definitely works in Win7 Professional and Ultimate RC, so FWIW, I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t work in Home Premium. TCMuffin MemberFWIW – I’ve been running Ubuntu 9.10 for a couple of months now, with no significant problems.
