And if you need to run XP programs on the N140 you could always upgrade Win7 Home Premium to Win7 Professional which includes WinXP Mode 😕

I think that you can see the image when you preview it because the image is stored locally to your computer.

I did a clean install of Win7 Professional (i.e. I deleted all the existing partitions and reformatted the whole drive in NTFS format) and as a first step the installation process created a ‘System Partition’.

This irritated me, so I tried to remove the system partition a couple of times but I couldn’t find a way to do it. Although it may have been possible to preformat the drive as a single partition using something like GParted and then install Win7 😕

In the end, I decided life was too short to peel mushrooms and decided to live with it 🙂

Matt screen with better speakers and battery life and draft-n wireless. IMO, a total no brainer unless cost is a major issue.

Good point – I don’t know.

However, I have done a ‘clean’ install of Win7 Professional (i.e. deleted all the existing partitions and reformatted the HDD) and I don’t see the Win7 animated boot screen 🙁

I’m with Tony, I’d go for the N140 every time. The only exception would be if money was very tight – then I might be persuaded to go for the N130.

Win7 Aero definitely works in Win7 Professional and Ultimate RC, so FWIW, I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t work in Home Premium.
