TCMuffin MemberWelcome to the forum, panatula_suresh 🙂 I’m surprised that the installation of Windows 7 gives you the error message of ‘hardware not supported’ as I have been running W7 on my NC-10 since the first beta release last year and the Samsung support website has W7 drivers and software for the N140 😕 TCMuffin MemberSorry shl615, but Jez (the forum owner) has asked the moderators to “direct any Mac OS discussion elsewhere – Apple does not sell installation discs so this cannot be done legally” I’m sure that many members will share with you their views of the N210, but in discussing this netbook please steer clear of the issue of hackintoshing. Thank you for your understanding 🙂 TCMuffin MemberWelcome to the forum, shl615 🙂 Sorry shl615, but Jez (the forum owner) has asked the moderators to “direct any Mac OS discussion elsewhere – Apple does not sell installation discs so this cannot be done legally” I’m sure that many members will share with you their views of the relative merits of the N210 versus the N310, but in discussing these netbooks please steer clear of the issue of hackintoshing. Thank you for your understanding 🙂 TCMuffin MemberAgreed – link removed 🙂 TCMuffin MemberAwesome. Thank you for sharing ankan 🙂 TCMuffin MemberYw 🙂 TCMuffin MemberAh……here it is: In the US, upgrading the RAM definitely does not invalidate the warranty. And Samsung UK’s response to a forum member’s warranty query, also seems to indicate that the UK will not be invalidated by upgrading the RAM. However, Samsung recommend that you should keep the original RAM so you can use it for testing purposes should any problems occur with the upgraded RAM module. TCMuffin MemberI’m fairly sure that a RAM upgrade does not invalidate the warranty 😕 TCMuffin MemberAnd I’m a foxy lady TCMuffin MemberHi monypit. Thank you for reporting back 🙂 TCMuffin MemberWelcome to the forum, Pat 🙂 Sorry to hear of your problems 🙁 Would it be possible for you to post some images of your N130’s switch assembly 😕 Instructions on Posting an image to the forum. Is there a way to load XP on the new drive from the repair discs that came with the Sammy?

Hi Mark and welcome to the forum 🙂Sorry to hear of your problems 🙁 Have you tried pressing F4 during startup to restore the recovery partition? If that doesn’t work, you can transfer the Recovery CD to a USB thumb drive, which you have to make bootable. You also have to enter the BIOS (press F2 whilst the computer is booting) and make the USB stick the first boot device. You need access to a CD/DVD drive on another computer which you use to create a USB boot drive using WinSetupFromUSB as explained in the following excellent guide – WinSetupFromUSB. Hope that helps.TCMuffin Member tikkalalee and jeepers01 tikkalalee and jeepers01 TCMuffin MemberYw 🙂 TCMuffin MemberI’ve recently bought a 9-cell 7800 mAh from http://www.laptop-adapters.co.uk. Cost – £35.21 + £4.87 p&p = £40.08. Ordered on 14 January – arrived yesterday 26 January from Hong Kong. Customs form marked as gift and, so far, I haven’t been charged import VAT nor the importer’s (Royal Mail) handling charge. I’ve charged it once and run a BIOS battery calibration which lasted about 6.75 hours – so it seems kosher – but time will tell.
