Try USB – HDD it works for the NC10 and I see no reason it should not work for you. Good luck
Also the NC10 will only boot from the right hand USB port. Might be a similar issue on the N210 so try all the ports after setting the bios 🙂

I use my NC10 in a similar way to you but I would expect the iPad to handle multitasking in the background.
If it cannot manage that then in my view it’s a severe limitation.
With all the media hype that has surrounded this launch I was expecting a product building on the success of the previous offerings which were revolutionary in their own right.
Perhaps the expectation was too high but I see nothing to tempt me into buying one 🙂

For carrying out backups on your new drive Western Digital have made available
Acronis True Image WD Edition Software and it’s free AFAIKIt will only work when the WD drive is connected to the sammy

Rawnnie – If you want GPS on your sammy and you have a GPS enabled phone, you can link it to the sammy with Bluetooth.
AFAIK turn by turn GPS Windows navigation software is quite expensive.
scotty6kids – A general overview of the process would be:-
Assuming your original hdd has the recovery partition.

Put you original hdd back in the sammy
*Unhide the recovery partition with Easus Partition Manager
*Copy the backup files to external media.
*Hide the recovery partition.
Re-install your new hard drive with XP on it.

Create the 6GB Recovery Partition with Easus Partition Manager.
*Copy the backup files to the new recovery partition from the external media.
*Hide the recovery partition.
*Use the Fix Boot option in the Samsung Admin Tool to restore the MBR to enable F4 at boot.
