MemberI tried Lightroom on the NC10 but found the screen a little small for anything but general viewing of images. I now use the freeware Photoscape (http://www.photoscape.org) for basic cropping, scaling etc.

MemberThere is also a small amount of ‘slack space’ to be taken into consideration. Under NTFS the cluster size is 4k, so unless a file fits exactly in multiples of 4k you will loose a little bit on each file. It doesn’t really matter these days with huge hard drives, but back in the days of my first 52 Mb hard drive it did.

MemberHave you given your sammy a pet name. Yes/No. If yes, please explain your choice.

MemberUsing the sammy normally I get 6.5 hours of use, my Toshiba laptop struggles to give two hours.

MemberIt’s all to do with cost, the starter version of Win 7 will be cheaper for manufacturers to buy. Those of us running the Win 7 Beta know the Ultimate version works without problems, so the three apps limit is an artificial limit.

Cool! If the prices come down, I might be interested; however, I assume you have to remove the “Samsung” name on the cover?
[/quote1235143680]I believe they’re thin enough to cover logo’s etc. there shouldn’t be any need to remove them (at least that’s what it says on the website).

MemberThe NTLDR is the Windows loader. If the USB stick was in the computer when you re-booted the BIOS will read the stick as a bootable drive, if it’d listed in the BIOS before the hard drive the computer will try to boot from it and fail because it doesn’t find the NTLDR. Boot the computer to the desktop, put the stick in then run the software.

Mod Edit: I’m sure the link is well intended but this forum is restricted to strictly legit sources of Telly. If people want to source another copy I invite them to use Google :)! Soz! ~Jez

MemberAnother vote for VLC player. I copied 4.3 Gig of DVD files to the sammy and it played flawlessly, the menu structure showed correctly and I was able to select chapters etc.
