[/quote1257084941]It works fine on the NC10 so I see no reason to doubt it would work on the NC20.No doubt other NC20 owners running Win 7 will confirm this?
Hope this helps

[/quote1257199052]Aero is fine. Also get the NC10 Win7 drivers where there is a match ie NC10 NC20 drivers and hardware are the same.

MemberAnyone have experience with Windows 7 x64? On 2GB RAM?
I can only seem to find 32-bit drivers on the official NC20 page.
Official driver pages (just to recap):
-
*
Samsung NC20 drivers
* Via drivers (via.com)
* Via drivers (viaarena.com)
* Synaptics driversDecember 23, 2009 at 7:02 am #201943stanger192
Membergeddeth: everything worked fine for me with win 7 x64, even with 1gb of ram…. cant remember which drivers i installed exactly, but off the top of my head i thinks it was the s3 graphics, card reader and the sound, basically the things that didnt work out of the vbox win win7,(sound worked with default win7 driver but i though id install it anyway)all from the manufactures, not samsungs’s, sites. bluetooth was sketchy with win7 default drivers( didnt test it much coz i dont really care for btooth) but i installed the win7 drivers(i installed the x32 ones on x64 win7) that were released recently and it works like a charm, can use the nc20 as a speaker/mic for my phone no worries, amongst other things… Easy display manager for xp works fine on w7, most of the function keys worked(two didnt), but a win7 version has been released recently too, but havent got around to installing it
oh, while the default win drivers worked fine with the trackpad, install the synaptic ones because it enables multi touch and a range of other options that take most of the pain out of using a track padDecember 23, 2009 at 2:14 pm #201945geddeth
Memberstanger, thanks for your reply. I am now more confident in switching to 64-bit Windows 7.
On the via.com-page I did find more 64-bit drivers than on Via Arena, I’ve update my post above with the link.
These should go on the NC20 wiki though, I’ll add them when I find the time.

Memberhi there. i just installed w7 on my nc20… now i’m looking for drivers to install. I read in the first post: that easy display manager and hotkeys have to be installed in XP MODE. What exactly is XP MODE? Could anyone explain, please?
Thanks in advance.January 23, 2010 at 12:11 pm #201919TCMuffin
MemberHi Sarge501 🙂
XP mode is for backwards compatibility on the W7 OS.
This is how you install software in XP mode:
*Download the executable and save it to your ‘Desktop’ for ease of access.*Right click on the icon of the downloaded file.
*Select ‘Properties’ which is the last option in the context sensitive menu.
*Left click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab.
*Left click in the little white box next to ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for:’ to tick this box.
*Left click in the little white box next to ‘Run this program as an administrator’ to tick this box.
*Left click on the ‘OK’ button.
Then all you have to do is to left click on the program’s icon on the desktop to install the software.
Hope this helps 🙂

Memberhm, doesnt work! Here what I did: I downloaded & installed EasyDisplay Manager (W7) from the samsung website… After that I downloaded & installed MagicKBD (XP)… Last step I did either in XP mode and normal. Still doenst work…. 🙁
Furthermore I am still not sure how to optimize the perfomance under W7. My CPU load is quite big, the fan goes off easily….
anyone has any suggestions? -
