Just thought it would be a good idea for us W7 users, to share drivers and experience with drivers on the new and wonderful Windows 7, which unfortunately Samsung does support at the moment.
Have contacted Samsung, to hear if W7 will be supported on the NC20 in the future, and got at reply that all Samsung computers should support W7 by December, but could not say if the NC20 is one of those “all”.
Anyway, I have made a driver pack, that contains the W7 drivers I have found for the hardware so far, after long time searching online at manufacturers websites (either made for W7 or Vista drivers that works with W7).

Download:
whc_Windows_7_driverpack_v1.2Drivers:
Display (W7)
MMCR (XP)*
LAN (W7)

Magic Keyboard (XP)** Need to run in XP mode to install
—
Now everything is installed, and W7 works fine, though the below drivers and Software I have not been able to find working ones online, please do share if you do.
Missing drivers:
Bluetooth? (W7 does install this)*
Camera? (W7 does install this)** W7 have default drivers for these
Missing Software:
All but the above—
Any other drivers, software you have found working, please do share, else enjoy this driver pack :).

October 8, 2009 at 4:24 pm #201917jezMemberNice, I’m preparing a little Win 7 round up to coincide with the release – I’ll make sure this thread is referenced.
Edit: Actually, might be worth adding to wiki… [Wiki]NC20 Windows 7[/Wiki]
We already have some NC10 info… [Wiki]NC10 Windows 7[/Wiki]I’ll kick this off when I get a min, wiki needs a login for the moment (spam probs :() but I periodically synchronise logins from this site so can get anyone here up and running if you can’t get in already. Will try and get that in sync later too!
October 11, 2009 at 9:33 am #201918jezMemberUpdate: You should be able to login into the wiki with your user/pass from here.
I have set up a basic page [Wiki]NC20 Windows 7[/Wiki] – feel free to update with more info 🙂
October 20, 2009 at 5:55 am #201936microspecMemberIs there another way to get the whc_Windows_7_driverpack_v1.2.zip file? I keep getting an error on the page when it goes to the download page so it never downloads. I would like to try them on my NC20.
October 20, 2009 at 2:07 pm #201922jeepers01Participantmicrospec – Welcome to the forum
Have you tried using another browser?
The download is very slow from this siteOctober 25, 2009 at 11:24 pm #201939TsopperiMemberThank you for the driver package, now W7 works wonderfully!
Just a little question tho: Magic Keyboard seems to stop working a few minutes after adjusting the mode the laptop runs in (Fn+F8), any fix/tweaks regarding this? Already tried the compatibility modes and “Run as admin” without any success, only rebooting seems to work..October 26, 2009 at 2:11 pm #201937kamiiMemberHey Guys, here is big surprise for your NC20s… I have just found the latest version of Synaptic Touch Pad (v14.1) which allows some cool multi-touch gestures and whatnot.
Follow this link, and bring some life to your touchpads:
http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/15103-synaptics-driverver-v13-2-6-1/*** Make sure to uninstall your existing synaptics drivers, and restart. After restart, the touch pad will not work anymore, so use an external mouse. Then install this new drivers, and restart. After, the touchpad will work like a charm.
October 26, 2009 at 5:51 pm #201930deanmccraeMemberI thought this would mean that the vertical scroll bar area on the touch pad would be working but it is not.
Do any of the win7 drivers mentioned in this thread enable this? The driver for XP crashes.

[/quote1256621473]I am sorry but the virual scroll bar is working perfectly for me in W7. Maybe, you need to go to Control Panel > Mouse and enable the virtual scrolling from synaptics drivers’ advanced settings.
Let me know, if you still can’t get them to work. And make sure that you do not install the synaptic drivers under any compatibility mode. Instead, just double-click it, as you would do normally to install it.
October 27, 2009 at 7:30 pm #201931deanmccraeMemberThanks Kamii
It works now after enabling it 🙂 Didnt know about all these options for the TouchPad.

[/quote1256898503]Why?? just copy the Win 7 files to a 4GB memory stick. You need to format the stick to bootable condition.
