April 17, 2009 at 1:41 pm #182808Xyrox MemberIf anyone wonders: I sent it to service again. This time I visited a Samsung Service Center and made sure that they would fix it properly this time – i.e., replace the whole keyboard. So now I have to wait until they’ve got the parts and fixed it. Hope everything will be fine after this. April 20, 2009 at 12:35 pm #182812Sideburnt MemberCompressed Gas, or ‘Air-Dusters’ are your friend. I keep my laptop waaay cleaner than my desktop, but one blast under the keyboard every month with a can of comressed gas and you’ll be horrorfied at what comes flying out, crumbs, hair, skin, you name it. I tried to get one of those keyboard covers for my keyboard, made out of silicone but since the whole world revolves around the US, I couldn’t buy one with a europena shape to it (large Enter key) but yes, seriously 90% of keys jamming is some globby funk under it. Not my netbook back with a replaced keyboard, and it might just be me but.. what a difference! All keys feel different, in a good way. And obviously my ‘O’ key is fixed. I just booted it now, hope I won’t find any other problems with the keyboard. April 27, 2009 at 10:17 am #182802jez MemberNice one Xyrox – good to hear they fixed it 🙂 Thanks for sharing, should be useful for others who get similarly stuck 😉 April 27, 2009 at 1:48 pm #182823beach Membermy O key has just started to stick since yesterday. May 4, 2009 at 3:48 pm #182817martin MemberMy C key is semi stuck. I played with it a bit and it works but isn’t perfect. Where to buy a replacement keyboard? 😀 May 4, 2009 at 4:38 pm #182814TCMuffin MemberYou can buy a replacement UK keyboard for £39 + VAT + p&p from Laptop Bits. May 13, 2009 at 9:18 am #182818martin MemberHey! I was curious about getting a better price so I checked eBay, they have a million of them there. I found a black one for 19.99 plus 9.99 shipping, which also said “Or best offer” so I entered 15.00 and got the offer instantly accepted. $24.99 total for a replacement keyboard to Sweden was not bad at all! /Martin May 13, 2009 at 11:45 am #182815TCMuffin MemberGood find and good buy – thank you, Martin 🙂
