So i have 800×600 and ingame i set all setting to lowest values, plus i set from the console “r_picmip 10”.
Have external Monitor attached.Streaming internet radio and playing in 800×600 almost smooth! Just tuff to set the sensibility right.
I tried it but i think it is better, see no effect it just is all the time on full power? i stick with “auto”.
I have 2gb ram and i even can play quakelive with 800×600 on lowest settings – almost no lag (using an external monitor).
To access the extra VIA bios just enable the 1st and 3rd light (see left front leds) Than just scroll with the error keys and the hidden bios option pops up.
You could have a look into the volume control, maybe there you can toggle the headphone and speakers?
But per default it should work.
