Tthe NC10 seems to do everything you’d expect of a netbook,and a lot maybe you might not expect, just check the apps some people use!
TBH I have gone back to using Vista Rainbar on my XP. The only reason I wished to change was because the weather app ceased to work. But I gather that other sidebar creators use the same, now non-working site, for the info so I would be no better off.
For a meaningful comparison you really need to know the actual retail price of the N510. you would kick yourself if you bought a N120 then found not a huge difference for the N510.
Until that small fact is known there is no comparison to make really.
I reinstalled immediately I noticed it missing Jayne, just now. I have a SUPERAntiSpyware full scan running at present, I will see if it turns up anything it shouldn’t.
Thinking outside the hollow cube – I might adapt a netbook bag with metal eyes, on in each corner, and use bungee cords to suspend it in the centre of the frame. If I had the same dilemma as the OP.
Just adding a third option, I am sure there are others.
Good find s162000, and it is the proper 6 cell version.
Potential buyers beware! There are ‘cheap’ 3 or 4 cell (seems to be conflicting specs out there, 4 cell may be confused with the n310) versions out there.
The matte NC10 screen I consider a huge plus too. I will admit to not using mine outside much, but it seems so much easier and comfortable to look at as opposed to the gloss screen on my previous netbook.
Hi Michellef, looks like a nice piece of kit there. My Spanish NC10 has no bluetooth so I am unable to comment there though.
But on the bright side – if it doesn’t work then you can steal the NC10 for yourself
Apparently (Mine is matte white) the suedette cover that comes with the NC10 doubles very nicely as a polishing cloth
Two observations from my little mind;
1. A coating will scratch more easily than the original surface.
2. A visible mod will likely decrease the value of your machine once you come to sell it, even if it survives perfectly intact.
I tried too, only to find no connection. I downloaded the Thoosje Sidebar instead, only to find that he has removed the Weather gadget as it wasn’t working any more
