MemberIt is a matter of personal preference, which may be changed at a later date anyway.
There are discussions on the forums here about this, with no consensus on a ‘best’ configuration being reached.

MemberHi misteryoso.suave,
That does seem odd behaviour, but nothing obvious springs to my mind.
If it works fine on mains power then I might suspect hardware, as all apps will be present all the time. It might be worth a call to Samsung support.

MemberNo disappointment Lilly, I might visit a motoring forum, but I wouldn’t service my car.
If I look in System – General then I see 1.99 Gb. If I look in Ccleaner then it reports 2 Gb. It may well be, as Lonestar says, that your method is subtracting the shared graphics memory.
You will undoubtedly have 2 Gb there though, so don’t be concerned.

MemberBrilliant! Welcome anc96.
With my paper round money I could just afford the current new gadget – a self assembly Sinclair calculator
And yes,you did have to assemble it before use.

MemberI saw that option, and immediately decided not to use it. I guessed that it may just be used as a quicker way to increase or decrease the volume, as in fewer steps for the same result.
If anyone knows different then please say.

MemberHi MIKALA88,
My battery was almost fully charged when I got my NC10, but I would guess that charge time would depend on it’s state of discharge. It’s probably mentioned in the manual somewhere, er, not something I tend to read if I can help it.
I have a fully working LiteOn external DVD, but it seems some people have had trouble with theirs. LG seems to be a popular choice, or Samsung. Any make ought to work.
EDIT:- spelling

MemberI can only suspect that there are some import license politics involved, leading to the U.S. getting slightly higher spec machines. Thus ensuring their citizens will buy at home. I am only guessing, as there doesn’t seem to be another obvious reason for the rest of us being denied what they have.
Other countries will have similar restrictions I’m sure, but the U.S. will be the largest market, so having the biggest clout.

MemberHi mikejordan, the first thing I would suggest is to reinstall your original 1 GB and run with that for a few days, just to check that the new RAM is actually causing the BSODs.

MemberCoreAVC is indeed a simple answer which works. Just to point out to those wishing to try it, it is not free. It does not cost a lot so may be seen as a worthwhile upgrade.
There is a 14 day trial version here, so you can see if it is for you before parting with any hard-earned though.

Memberjasoninertia, have you tried ‘Ctrl and 0’ to reset the zoom?
As lizzie says, there does seem to be an issue on the forums with text wrapping in FF in some circumstances.

MemberWell done jasperpop, it’s always good to hear of a happy resolution.
