MemberI remember an old 286 which was on 24/7 in a factory which was only shut down at Christmas, that needed a whack with a rubber mallet to free the HDD to start it again in the New Year. It would then run 24/7/355 no problem.
I don’t think you should count on that though, it sounds as if a connector may be loose inside yours.

MemberWelcome to the forum cmschwartz59,
I have a VX Nano which just works, plug it in and no need for drivers or Logitech software. Mine has a small ‘connect’ button underneath it, if your 450 does have you tried that? Other than that I am at a loss for now, sorry.

And automatic signature updates are rolled into scheduled scans, so if you scan infrequently your malware definitions can get quite out of date.

So if you schedule scan frequently they are up to date? Mine is set to run every night, therefore updating as often as is necessary, or capable. Using it with the default settings, i.e. scheduled scan ON, means that the signature is always up to date.
As with all A/V products, we don’t know how good they are until they prove to fail by missing a virus. We are just as in the dark about that whichever one we use.
If it fails on me then I shall consider changing, but until then I think it is a worthwhile offering from MS 🙂

MemberHi betterdayz21, welcome to the forum,
I have used Trillian before and have Astra Pro now although I don’t use it yet as there is no cam support for MSN. I have used Digsby too, they both work ok.
You can try all those you mentioned and see how you get on, then uninstall if you find they don’t fit your needs.

MemberWelcome to the forum nickip212,
I would be a bit concerned, may be unnecessarily I don’t know, but I would probably think about removing the keyboard and washing and drying it thoroughly or even replacing it.
Have a look at this thread to see what you think. As all seems to be working fine then you may decide not to do anything, I realise.

MemberWhilst I am STILL waiting for my second dispatch of Win 7 from the UK, I am running XP with MSE and have had no problems with it. The technology used in MSE has been around for quite a while and is far from unproven. It seems that you were just unlucky jeepers.

MemberHi Gopez_UK, welcome to the forum,
You have likely removed the recovery partition, yes.
There is a thread here about restoring it, don’t panic, there is an English translation there too. Hopefully that will provide some help.

And? I don’t believe ‘up to 60 miles per gallon’, ‘up to 30% brighter’ or ‘new and improved’ (how can it be both?). I gave up believing advertising claims many years ago 🙂
You seem to be looking for problems rather than a solution.
If you seriously want up to 11 hours use then I would strongly suggest that you consider factoring in the cost of a 9 cell battery when or if you buy a netbook. The NC10 is great, btw.

MemberHi Lomius, welcome to the forum,
Yup, there have been a few people running Win 7 beta and RC for quite a while noting that it works fine on the N series 🙂
