Does anyone have any anecdotal feedback on how this affects battery life (in terms of hours before next charge, not years before replacement). I’m considering installing Win 7 and overclocking so would expect a bit of a hit compared to vanilla XP but if I had a copy of Ubuntu to dual boot from when on the move, will that use a lot less fuel?

I was also wondering; when I bought extra RAM, I’m pretty sure i opted for 553Mhz (or 667Mhz – whatever it came with) rather than anything higher because “it wouldn’t make a difference” – with overclocking, is the extra Mhz from the RAM “released” (bottleneck removed i guess?) and therefore would it be worth buying a replacement stick of RAM?
