Memberjeepers010, thanks for your suggestion. BatteryBar looks indeed more accurate than Windows, as it show several measures including battery wear. But it seems to me that BatteryBar (or at least, the free version I am using) predicts the remaining battery time without taking into account the current power load. In fact, when I stop using the netbook for a while, Windows reports, let’s say, 3 hours, than 6 hours and then 9 hours battery life, as soon as it switches to progressively lower power modes. At the same time, BatteryBar keeps showing the same time, eventually increasing it but very very slowly.
Beside this, what I was very curious to know is if others are experiencing a very long battery autonomy (say, above 9 hours) with their N140.

MemberI bought my N140 on Saturday 22rd and I noticed it had difficulties connecting to my home Linksys WRT54G2. Generally speaking, it dropped the wifi connection despite a good signal, also in such places where my other laptops had no problems connecting.
On Saturday 29th I called Samsung support here in Italy who simply suggested to restore the operating system, search for an update Atheros driver, test again and, in case, just go to the shop and exchange for a new one, or send them back for repair. I hasted to assure that there was no new driver that I knew of, past the one I already had on board. Then I restored the OS, searched for update drivers and, voilà !, the new driver was there !
The new driver seems to have solved the wifi connection problem. Just in time…
