MemberSomething is still wrong that I can’t troubleshoot. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling EDM, and still getting the same error message on bootup. When I look at the details it say that dmhkcore is the cause. Scratches head….

MemberThanks jeepers01. I did find this thread after I left mine note. I have installed the Win 7 version of Display Mgr on my F: partition (Win 7), and it says it’s creating a task. However, when I start up Win 7 I get this message…
‘ Easy Display Manager has stopped working’
and nothing loads. I look in the Task Manager and no task is started. There isn’t even a task created for the EDM software. 🙁 Any ideas? I have an icon on my desktop for EDM and when executed it works and I have my F-key applets back. Strange. I would like to get it to work as a schedule task on startup though.

MemberI upgraded to Win 7 and now can’t get to the F-key switches that control wireless, battery indictator, volume and screen brightness. I installed on a separate partition and installed all the Win 7 drivers from the Samsung Global website. Is there a special applet that controls all the F-Key switches, and if so, what’s the name of it. Are these functions in firmware, or loaded at startup?
Thx,

MemberHi. New to the forum. I’ve had my N120 for about 3 weeks now and having come from a 1st gen Acer that only got about ~2+ hrs, I’m overjoyed with the 5+ hrs this Sammy delivers – and that’s with 100% brightness, and WiFi off most of the time. The Sammy shines in the battery life dept and the principle reason I bought it. Well… my Acer bit the dust too. 🙂 I haven’t run the battery down from a full charge under my typical use, so I can’t say just how long this battery lasts, but I’m happy with the performance so far. IMO long battery life is a top prerequisite for a Netbook, given the utilitarian nature of their usage. I can use it throughout the day, in every room in my home(when using WiFi) and know that I won’t have to worry about plugging in the adapter. I’ve been using it tonight, non-stop for 3+ hrs already and still have 57% battery life still showing. That’s amazing!
I’m a happy Sammy camper.
