MemberYep, a dell optiplex gx1, 10gb, 500mhz pentium 3, bout 386 mb ram, lol. A bargain from the local rubbish dump for $20. Works a treat for email and web browsing.
Cheers muffin, i have both the discs shown in that thread. Good to know I can just reinstall if i need too. Maybe even drop in a bigger hard drive and a do a fresh install down the track a bit.
There’s a thread around here somewhere about how to put the xp recovery cd on usb and boot from it.

MemberIt wasn’t exactly an install disc. An xp recovery disc is what it said. Not sure if it’s the same thing. But I would think xp is on that disc, else how would it be able to recover anything. I’ll wait till something goes wrong before testing it out though.
Yep, 160gb is plenty. Seeing as I was living on a 10gb hard drive on my desktop pc, 160 gig’s a massive step up.
Thanks for the replies 🙂

MemberOh, it could be i’m mistaken. I gave it 25gb for the area you say is for storgage, lol. Who knows, maybe I didn’t read it properly. I can always try some sorta partition resizer to add the 25gb to the other part of the drive.
