One thing I needed to do in my install was to download FAT32FORMAT (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/FAT32format.shtml) to format my data partition to FAT32 as XP will only let me format partitions larger than a certain size to NTFS.I downloaded this, but when I click on the exe file, nothing happens apart from a black screen for a transient second. I stopped my avast utility, but that did not help. Anything wrong I am doing?
My Hard disc is now divided into c and d. C is left for windows. Ubuntu was in in D, but is now uninstalled.

Membertried again as below- source https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NC20#openchrome_debian
* Firstly get the required build tools
sudo apt-get install build-essential subversion autoconf automake1.9 libtool
* Next you need to get the build dependencies
sudo apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg-video-openchrome
* Get the driver’s sourcecode
svn checkout http://svn.openchrome.org/svn/trunk openchrome
* Change into the newly created directory
cd openchrome
Ok until this step. I typed cd openchrome
After that screen says
mishra@ubuntu:~/openchrome$
It is stuck there. What do I type in next

Memberwent through the following
* Firstly get the required build tools
sudo apt-get install build-essential subversion autoconf automake1.9 libtool
* Next you need to get the build dependencies
sudo apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg-video-openchrome
* Get the driver’s sourcecode
svn checkout http://svn.openchrome.org/svn/trunk openchrome
* Change into the newly created directory
cd openchrome
After this screen says
mishra@ubuntu:~/openchrome$
Then I did this
* Run autogen to set up the driver build
./autogen.sh –prefix=/usr
After a series of screens
config.status:executing libtools commands
then againmishra@ubuntu:~/openchrome$
after that, I did
* Compile openChromemake
* Install openChrome
sudo make install
After a long many screens, I get
make (2): Nothing to be done for “install-data-am”.
many other lines ending withmake(1): Leaving directory “/home/mishra/openchrome”
finally back tomishra@ubuntu:~/openchrome$
I think I am giving up now. Obviously it is a lot more demanding than my capability.
