 Hi,
I have one quest about services:
I took all extra services off like in the first post advice.
BUT, I really need to use external 3g-stick to (Huawei) connect internet because I travel much in train or bus. Now since I took off all extra services that stick doesn’t work. I need to restore all services to use and then it works. I think that I really need to restore all services but I really don`t know what services my stick use…
 Can someone help?
 Sorry my bad English…[/quote1267780166]
Hi see this post on page 21 of this thread quoteHi, been testing with regards to the services running on the first post
I’ve found that Remote Access Connection Manager and Telephony needed to be tagged on to allow my USB Modem Dongle and Connection Manager to connect correctly…
Not sure if Freddy wants to add this to his list with a note to say if you require USB modem Dongle, maybe of use to some one save them the time it took me to go through the list to see what had stopped it running.

Thanks Freddy.I have to say I am not a huge fan of the “broadband” dongle….I’m sure I had one element of Plug & Play enabled. I have to admit I get a wee bitty crosseyed looking at the lists, I’m sure it’s easy to miss something out… I am an anaesthetist who foolishly lives 70 miles from my place of work, so when I am at home, the WiFi rules, but when I’m on site, I have to succumb to the likes of either hospital networks or the USB dongle. I’ll try those changes and see if I can make it work with minimal services enabled. Thanks again Nafees

Hi did you manage to work out which services wanted enabling,I’ve just got a dongle and have the same problem would like to turn on the one’s required without going through all the list if some one has already done it.Thanks in advance .Regards malcolmmalcolm159 MemberHi just bought one of these today works great comes complete with Duracell batteries no dongle but then its not required on the nc10.Box says it contains software cd but mine didn’t and box was sealed but not sure if that matters as it connected straight away with nc10 after doing a search in my Bluetooth places for Bluetooth devices ,remained connected when I walk away from nc10 at around 8 ft couldn’t see screen too good after that .Has on off switch underneath and pairing button colour is black with a blue grey finish in the centre bits almost matches my blue nc 10 Made by AGK feels ok and have switch it off and on and still connects quickly to nc10 without pairing again.Dont be put off by coming from Netto as they have a money back return policy if it fails which cant be bad I’ve have items from them before and they have been good. So all in all after an hour or so got to say I’m pleased with it especially for just under £20.
 Regards Malcolmmalcolm159 MemberHi guys,
Thanks for replies re McAfee, other than Jezz has no one run McAfee to know whats it performs like. As I said I can have the full version of McAfee for free and if it doesn’t slow down the netbook there seems no point in replace it will any other product unless they are better and don’t slow the netbook down as much as McAfee. Ive seen the faq pc mag tests on anti virus software and they are all for the versions that are paid for is the free versions just as good .
 Thanks in advance
 Regards Malcolm
