MemberHi u4jef, welcome to the forum..
I don’t know which broadband modem you have but I have use two external modems a toshiba and a huawei. The first have in my case some reception problems and the second have a strong signal.
I have a N130 too and I have solder a second pcie connector but it doesn’t work. If you open your model, please take photos of the motherboard. It will be very useful for me and other members.
Thank you.loploklok

MemberCould someone help me to find what can I do?
I have read something about this is a connector that works like an usb port.
I take this from wikipedia:
PCI Express Mini Card edge connector provide multiple connections and buses:* PCIe ×1
* USB 2.0
* SMBus
* Wires to diagnostics LEDs for wireless network (i.e., WiFi) status on computer’s chassis
* SIM card for GSM and WCDMA applications
* Future extension for another PCIe lane
* 1.5 and 3.3 volt powerloploklok
MemberThis motherboard isn’t the same like the NC10, If I need to solder some capacitors, I don’t know where to solder them and where to put the bridges. I’m so confused.
Please, I need some help.

MemberHello, I’ve fitted a second mini pci-e connector on a N130 but I don’t know why it doesn’t work. My broadcom Crystal works fine in the wifi port but it is half size. I have test the wifi card and the Broadcom Crystal on the new port with any issue.
I don’t know if it needs some resistor or bridge.
Has someone any idea?
Sorry for my bad english. -
