Good luck with it. I can only add that I was able to get on to my parents Hub with my NC10 once we found the password. Which took a fair amount of time in itself!
It’s always parents that seem to have a Home Hub ;)!

Interesting. I am seeing some distortion on my screen actually, not nearly like yours, but in some way similar. I have contacted Samsung who say I need to phone them to go through troubleshooting and then arrange repair. I was going to do a restore and erase anyway before sending off so maybe I’ll have a go at that over the weekend. See if it makes a difference.
It seems like a hardware fault to me as I see it in the BIOS too.

Its a good point PMCC. However I guess Jayne’s security issue is pretty important.
Many of us are actually using Windows XP still so I guess that answers the question in one respect – at least XP, for now, is being patched still.
This was one of my criticisms of “Vista Haters” – they installed vista on old machines and expected it to run well, it would be like installing XP on a 486 and expecting it to run!

Yep your contract may or may not explicitly allow using your phone as modem in this way, someone here might be able to give you a pointer but I would definitely check with an official source before hammering the connection!
Congrats James! So what will you be doing with your netbook, sounds like it will be an accompanying 2nd PC to play around with :D!
I posted some of my thoughts on the current state of netbooks via the blog.
I’d add that part of the problem is this desire to define them as being size x or low cost or whatever. I think there will always be the need for portable computers, I think people will want something bigger to keep at home too. Simple as that really. Much like how some people have a big TV in their living room and a small one in the kitchen.
You’ll buy the device that meets your needs, the “netbook” is just another option and one that definitely has a role. Perhaps in time touchscreen tablets will replace the current form factor but there will always be the desire for something portable that is big enough to read and small enough to carry.
PS. Unlucky Utd. But as an England fan I wasn’t upset by Ronaldo’s frustrations ;).
