MemberIt never ceases to amaze me just how often “new” drivers are causing problems. I guess I see a lot of these probs as people often come to this forum only when things go wrong but surely it can’t be too hard to roll out working drivers to standard hardware?
I’ve never updated my NC10, I figure that it works now so I’m happy to leave it alone!

How can i upload photos?
[/quote1280083914]Upload it to a photo sharing service, I use flickr, then you can use the img bbcode
I haven’t heard of an N220 getting warped before, doesn’t sound good. I take it you haven’t left it near the oven or something!
I’d be interested to see the pics, but it might be worth getting in touch with Samsung.

MemberSo win 7 x64 runs OK on the N150? The older atoms could never run 64 bit operating systems and I assumed the newer ones couldn’t either.
jez
MemberWhat about the Samsung N230 ;)?

MemberThanks for that fingerman, always good to hear alternative views and feedback from the dark side 😉 From reading your sig looks like you’ve got through a few PCs!
£180 sounds like a good deal, I get the impression that the Sammys are a little dearer that other models out there right now.
Feel free to pop by any time!

MemberYeah you should be able to plug the charger in, leave it for a few hours and then the netbook should run for over 5 hours or so.
If this isn’t happening I would return it and request a replacement.
Samsung support might be worth a call, they can at least confirm you are doing everything correctly.

MemberHi Les, a few people have had WiFi connection probs and it’s prob worth doing a search though the forum for some help. I’m afraid mine has always “just worked” so I can’t suggest anything myself!
Have a look and let us know how you get on:

MemberHi Pete, an intermittent prob sounds like it could be a dodgy cable perhaps?
I know a few people have opened up their netbooks to do speaker replacements and there are some posts on this around – however I wouldn’t recommend that if you aren’t comfortable with that kind of thing.
I guess the N110 warranty is out of date by now? digicare.co.uk will do repairs for a fee.

MemberYep, pretty sure that’s been answered once or twice here, but thanks for posting up the answer – will increase the chances of someone else finding it 🙂
This is a relatively quiet forum, but generally someone gets round to answering most queries in between our full time jobs, children, TV watching, etc ;)!

MemberI forgot that even existed, lost mine years ago :(. Well, months ago.
I like the idea of finding the cheapest old SD card.

Ps do I need to buy the home office and norton package they are trying to sell me?
[/quote1279741904]Many peeps get on just fine with Google docs or Open Office. For virus protection people use the free solutions such as AVG, Avast and MSE.
Generally the commercial packages provide a wider range of security options so they do provide added value, only you can decide what level of risk you want to take on. Personally I use the Microsoft MSE suite and never do anything “sensitive” on my netbook. I don’t keep important files on it so if I lost it or it was compromised it would be an inconvenience rather then a disaster.
Of course your usage may be totally different!

MemberCaps lock stuck? 😉
So does the LG TV have a VGA port? It sounds like you are saying it doesn’t have one. I’m afraid if there is no input then there is no easy way to connect your netbook to that TV that I know of.
Welcome to the forum.

MemberThere are a few places that sell spares but I’ve never made a list of them before. Hopefully someone who does know will pop by the forum soon.
What I have done is set up a wiki page to list spare part suppliers and links to useful repair articles/threads. So I’ll try to update it as and when I see future posts.
Of course the wiki can be edited by anyone, so feel free to add any info yourselves 🙂
