Hmm doesn’t sound good. Some NC10s suffer from a screen cable problem but if the machine doesn’t sound like it is booting then it’s prob not that. Opening it up is beyond my technical experties so I can’t comment further, there are a few posts on getting into an NC10 around the forum though – proceed at your own risk!
I guess it is out of warranty? Laptop repair shop?

I guess it could be anything! I guess if it sounds like it isn’t booting you can rule out a screen defect. Could be an HD prob? tbh my skills are limited to giving things a slap when they don’t work (I don’t recommend this!).

When I bought my NC10 my local computer shop had them in so I was able to have a little go and try out some of the competition. It’s worth doing as everyone had their own preference to keyboard and looks, etc.
GG means “Good Game” in the Internet gaming world. So at the end of a match everyone says “GG and WP”.

Meh! Yeah I remember discussing this before!
It seems pretty hard/impossible to get a built in modem these days. 4G is still a way off in the UK, I was reading about the proposed auctions and how there are concerns that there won’t be much interest with the carriers still trying to make money back from 3G!
