Yeah I prefer to not rely on OS level passwords either. I’d encrypt anything sensitive with eg TrueCrypt. But actually my strategy is to not store anything sensitive on there anyway. Bit of a pain to always log into sites and things but I work on the basis that one day I’ll leave it behind somewhere!!

If your TV, like mine, has a VGA input port (and most modern TVs should) then all you need is a normal PC monitor cable. Just plug one end in the TV and the other in the NC10 VGA out port. Use Windows display properties to control the resolution of the output.
If your TV doesnt have this then it gets problematic. There are some posts around discussing it and various suggestions for devices which might allow you to make it work. Unfortunately I don’t think there was any magic widget that provided the ideal solution.
Ah thanks, yep I know Costco over here in the UK and Wal-Mart are slowly takin over our supermarkets one chain at a time ;)!

Welcome to the forum! Seems kind of fitting buying a Sammy from Sam. I’ve never heard of them before, are they a fairly big national name over in the US?
Seems a fair deal but for just over $20 more Amazon now have the special edition.

Dabs have the HSDPA model listed as available in March – afaik it is not currently available anywhere at the moment 🙁
There are a few discussion on modifying oneself in the hacks/mods forum, for example this internal 3g thread. Prob some others in there too.

Some nice functionality in that. I think asus have a eee touch on the way too.
A mature touchscreen netbook is the only thing that I can see displacing my Sammy right now.
