You might be interested to know that it has been brought to the attention of the forum in the last few days that the N220 plus does not have the Broadcom Crystal HD chip fitted whereas the UK version of the N220 does, although not advertised as such.

Hope this helps

The general forum consensus about SUP is to avoid using it but if you continue to use it make sure the options are set to install manually only to enable a choice to be made whether new drivers are installed or not. From my experience the same advice follows for Windows Update as well.
In my opinion once a stable working system has been established there is no virtue in installing updated drivers.
I understood that Samsung were now using Window Update as the vehicle for updated drivers although it appears that there is still be some parallel running whilst this transition takes place (if it actually ever does).
As an alternative try DriverMax.com or Software Informer to check what drivers are available and then download and install manually from the Samsung download site if they are required.
A point to note about Windows Update is that it does not appear to advise the driver version offered hence problems can occur not knowing what it wishes to install.
My moto is “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” 🙂
Hope this helps

In addition to the link posted above you might want to try an alternative charger since some users have had similar issues because of a faulty charger.
These threads may be of interest on related issues concerning the screen

Participantfffcj – Regarding washing/cleaning the keyboard this thread might be of interest.
I’ve read about users giving the keyboard a cool wash in the dishwasher! 😀
AFAIK the keyboards are a mono block construction that can’t be readily disassembled except for removing the key caps.
Hope this helps

Try to repair the connection, right click the wireless icon.
If Windows update has changed the driver go to Windows Restore and choose a restore point date before the driver was suspected to have been installed.
If SUP has changed the driver go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Network adapters and select the wireless adapter > Properties > Driver.
Then select Roll Back Driver as Windows remembers the last driver installed and will re-instate it.It is recommended to set both WU and SUP to manual to prevent these type of problems.
However I never use SUP as it has been found to be very unreliable.Hope this helps

Thanks for giving it a go Jeepers. This should be the answer but the warning message wasn’t kidding. When I try to tick the boxes (which are unticked) eg Pinch Zoom, the box remains empty and the function doesn’t …function.
[/quote1281391794]I would be inclined to try re-installing the Synaptics driver.Hope this helps
