Participantkyffin – AFAIK Skype will work anywhere in the world when connecting computer to computer over the internet. ie. the free service. There may well be restrictions for certain countries when using connections to land lines as part of the paid service.
Are you able to test Skype for the countries you think may be a problem?jeepers01

Participantgfplux – If you have a wireless router then provided wireless is enabled ( [Fn] + F9 ) then you should see the network in the network icon in the tray (bottom right)
Click the icon and select the network, enter wireless key and connect.Hope this helps

ParticipantMikaZ – Your welcome
It seems more than likely a driver issue but the hard bit is finding the driver that will work 🙂
I don’t have the card in my machine so I can’t test but maybe you could become the forum pioneer to solve this one 🙂November 26, 2009 at 8:25 pm in reply to: [N120] N120 SATA controller? (Derailed -> Faktados' N120 hack thread) #205466jeepers01
Participant[quote1259267053=Faktados]New attempt probably this weekend, hopefully it works and I can screw this baby back together until the replaced SSD arrives.[/quote1259267053]
Good luck for the weekend and let us know how you get onjeepers01

Participantbleron – Several other forum members have experienced this problem. This thread will be of interest if you have not seen it already.
White screen (of death?)If you still have warranty and the problem is constantly repeatable then it may be best to return it. (else they may charge if they find nothing wrong with it when they check it)
AFAIK Samsung will arrange for free courier collection and return but repair times have varied in from 1 to 4 weeks but from what I have read on this forum the UK turn round is perhaps the fastest and there have been a few less favourable reports about the USA service centre in Texas.
Sansung will require proof of purchase so you need to find your receipt 🙂Hope this helps

Problem solved. It seems to have been a permissions problem with our university license. When that was sorted out, the higher resolution option appeared. Thank you.

Glad it’s resolved but could you provide more information on the ‘permissions problems’ as I wasn’t aware of licensing restrictions.Cheers

ParticipantMikaZ – Welcome to the forum
What speed are you getting? If it is 150Mbps then that concurs with other user findings.
Have a look at this current thread which provides further information. It has been reported that the Realtek RTL8192E has problems with WPA2-PSK-AES.
See this thread N140 and WiFiHope this helps

Participantskeep – Welcome to the forum
AFAIK the N130 has the same wireless card as the N140 which is a RealTek RTL8192E 802.11n complying with the IEEE 802.11n Draft specification 2.0. which operates at 2.4GHzIt gives support for both 20MHz and 40MHz channel bandwidth and provides simple legacy co-existence to ensure backward and network compatibility.
According to the specs, Maximum PHY data rate up to 150Mbps using 20MHz bandwidth, 300Mbps using 40MHz bandwidth.
What wireless driver and router are you using?
Hope this helps

ParticipantBTW in Win 7 the resolution can be changed to 1152×864 🙂

Participantjsel – It would seem logical to re-install the graphics driver before considering a full restore. A more radical approach would be to re-install all the drivers on the machine and then perhaps trying different graphics driver versions.
Hope this helps
