http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KVR800D2S5_2G.pdf[/quote1267299837]FWIW I have the 667Mhz version installed in our NC10’s and they work just fine.
Cat No. KVR667D2S5/2GHope this helps

Participantlen112 – Welcome to the forum
Are you using the Vodafone connection manager or the Samsung connection manager?
Also do you have a contract or pay and go data sim? as this will determine the settings.
Hope this helps

Participantjazb08 – Welcome to the forum
Foxit Reader is an alternative pdf viewer that will allow the viewing of Adobe pdf files but it is just a smaller more compact program that consumes fewer resources.
It also integrates itself into the browser and I have found it runs well on my NC10.
Hope this helps

Participantmonkeyhead – If you have rolled back the driver then you must have the wireless device listed in Device Manager in order to change the driver? (look under Network Adaptors)
The bios picture is indeed from version 11CA which is needed to get the function keys brightness control working in Win 7 and also general Win 7 support.
If you are now not able to see the wireless option in the boot screen tab of the bios then it does look as though the device is defective and not reporting it’s presence to the bios.
Is your NC10 still under warranty?
Hope this helps

Participantdianaja – Your welcome.
Unless you have a copy of the advert it will be hard to prove as they may well have removed (or changed) the original advertisement by now.
Replacement 6 and 9 cell batteries can be bought from a few suppliers.
The 9 cell is cheaper but is a bit larger.
A few links that may help

Wireless LAN,ATHEROS is shown as an update on the Samsung Support web site for the N210. My wireless Lan is shown as Realtech so do I need this ?Confused !
[/quote1267287654]It appears that like the N140, some models, depending on sales area location, have different wireless cards fitted. Either Atheros or Realtek. If you have checked in Device Manager and established that you have a Realtek card (probably 8192E) then you do not need the Atheros update.
Hope this helps explain

Hello, I’ve fitted a second mini pci-e connector on a N130 but I don’t know why it doesn’t work. My broadcom Crystal works fine in the wifi port but it is half size. I have test the wifi card and the Broadcom Crystal on the new port with any issue.
I don’t know if it needs some resistor or bridge.
Has someone any idea?
Sorry for my bad english.[/quote1267282977]Welcome to the forumThis issue has been solved on the NC10 and the principles should apply to the N140 as I suspect the circuitry to be similar if not the same even though the N140 has a different motherboard layout.
The solution for the NC10 was to solder in missing 2x 100nF capacitors and some bridging for the slot 2 pci-e connector.
Full details can be found in this thread. Broadcom HD decoder working on soldered slot2
Please post pictures and details as other N140 users will no doubt be interested 🙂
Hope this helps and let us know how you get on.

ParticipantStrider – I get exactly the same as you and I remember mentioning it in another thread a while back. I thought I was on my own with SRSIII Upgrade after installing SRS4.
I thought it might have something to do with the fact I am running dual boot XP/7 although I’m not convinced.
That said it seems to work as though it is version 4 so it may not be important?
Hope this helps

VLC is a good free player but another good alternative (some say better) is the KMplayer.
As said above, it is not normally necessary to purchase a codec and if the one you have is not working then a refund may be in order.
Hope this helps

I thought the 3 cell NC10’s started appearing later than July 2009.
Are you sure you don’t have the 6 cell battery with 5200mAh on the battery label? But then again with 2 hours life it certainly sounds as though it is a 3 cell 🙁
Do you recall what battery life was quoted in the Micro Anvika advertisement as you may have recourse against them if it was quoted with a battery life greater than four hours.
Hope this helps

Thanks again jeepers01.“You could either run the ‘remove letter=G’ diskpart sequence” works TEMPORARILY. Next I boot, G is back…
[/quote1267222092]Most odd. Did you run the full diskpart sequence?-
diskpart
*select disk 0
*list partition
*select partition 1 (number of the Recovery partition identified by list partition)
*remove letter=G (where G is the drive letter assigned to the Recovery partition)
*detail partition (Will show partition type as 07 ie. unhidden)
*set id=27 override (to hide the partition)
*detail partition (should show partition type as 27)
*exitI assume Easus worked for you?

Aaaargh!Booted-up this evening and the recovery partition is showing again!
Computer Management shows it without a drive letter, but it is available under My Computer as G:..
Help?![/quote1267215017]You could either run the ‘remove letter=G’ diskpart sequence or
Install Easus Partition Master Home Edition (free)
Select the Recovery partition
>Right Click
>Advanced
>Change Drive Letter
>New Drive Letter: None
>Press OK
>Exit AppHope this helps
