Send it off to Samsung and pay for the repair.
(And in future, stop pulling the netbook apart..?)
Fair point. But it’s not unreasonable to expect that consumers may wish to upgrade their laptop/netbook at some point in the future…a bigger HD? Maybe even SSD? Or maybe replace a broken USB port or fan.
I am writing this on an old IBM thinkpad x31 which is robust enough to take apart and put together again. I suppose I was expecting the same sort of quality from samsung.
Replacement switches are selling on ebay for about £8; for now I’ll use a screwdriver to turn it on.
My much loved N130….what have I done to you!!
Despite knowing about issues with the powerswitch and having the back off my N130 half a dozen times or so, I have just broken the measly, puny excuse of a power switch Samsung designed for the N130. I cannot believe how flimsy and pathetic it is!
Take the most vital component, powerswitch, and make it as fine as a baby’s hair. Well done Samsung. You saved a fraction of a cent….and lost yourself a future customer. I will have to think twice before buying ANY samsung product, be it camera, hard drive, cellphone…..rant over.
