Memberwolf7g8m3,
not got the game or tried it, but I found these on a quick google search:
Site – http://forums.jeuxonline.info/showthread.php?t=973432 (French?)
Google translation – http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://forums.jeuxonline.info/showthread.php%3Ft%3D973432&ei=LGTETMWFA8L54AaMiZ26Aw&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CDYQ7gEwCA&prev=/search%3Fq%3D%2522DAoC%2522%2Bintel%2B3150%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dopera%26hs%3D1CP%26rls%3Denhave a read, but see the post by ‘raly / Strang / Yuzuh’ about moding user.dat.
implies a possible res problem as Jez said.
Also – http://support.darkageofcamelot.com/kb/article.php?id=229 and http://support.darkageofcamelot.com/kb/article.php?id=764 , so it may be a GPU problem.
Hope it’s of some use.
PS – If it is a GPU problem this may help (3DAnalyze) – http://www.sammymobile.com/forum/threads/13441-Game-doesn’t-run-Intel-graphics-problem-Use-3d-Analyze!?highlight=intel+graphics – I’ve not tried it, just read the post a while back. Also, from other searches, make sure you have the latest DirectX for your PCs OS.
Fred232
MemberAs Jez says, have you tried another browser to see if its a browser thing or just IE?
As you are on XP and IE7, the 2nd link I posted is probably the most relevant of the three – http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926449 give that a bash.
Is there anything recorded in the event log for the date/time of the IE failure that gives an error report?
Also, it probably isn’t this but worth checking, update your Anti-Virus checker and run a full scan.
Also, this may help – http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378/en-us

Memberdonno,
Welcome to the forum.
What OS? (XP, vista, W7), What IE? (6, 7, 8, 9Beta)
These may help – http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/45350.aspx or http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926449 or http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281679 **check the OS and IE versions mentioned to make sure they match with yours **
Is there any error message reported or error entered into the event log when this problem occurs?
Hope the above helps, if not post back.
Fred232
MemberNice, you gonna get one?
I was thinking of getting one of the NF models, wanted a NF310, but in the UK it looks like the 310 won’t be available.
Is the NF310 on sale where you are?
Fred232
MemberSorry, not sure what to suggest then re VLC and GOM 🙁
If the VLC tweak doesn’t work, there is this post re GOM to have a look at and change the settings – http://www.sammymobile.com/forum/threads/13416-HD-Not-Working-On-Samsung-N220 that may help.
Any news at the MS post?
Thinking caps on.
There is another player you could try if you wish. Again this plays them fine on my machine, its called Media Player Classic (home cinema) – http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/
If you do load it check the following:
View – Options – external filters –
I have:
Broadcom video decoder
Microsoft AC3 encoder
MPEG 4 decoder DMOall listed (in that order) and ticked.
As I say, whilst I cannot get sound in WMP12, all the other three play the videos fine for me.
MPC may be worth a shot. When using these players, what is your CPU load? For me VLC/GOM/MPC seem to run at about 40-60% but WMP is 90-100%. Im suspecting my WMP isn’t using the broadcom decoder correctly (maybe?)
Whats the res of your video? mine are the ‘lite’ version 720p only.
Fred232
MemberSamsung have done things like this before. The UK N220 had the broadcom HD decoder when most other models of the N220 did not.
I emailed Samsung and asked them about the NF310 in the UK a few days ago. I got a ‘ sorry – no announcements yet re availability’ type reply, and was asked to keep an eye on this page – http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/newsalert/supportNewsAlertMain.do but I notice its not been updated since 15-June!
Fred232
MemberYou can tell if its HD by the trailer at the start (sort of a cat/lion thing for HD) or by right-clicking in iPlayer as its playing. The 2nd line tells you the res.
I just looked at Merlin – The changeling, and it was in 832×468.
Just a thought, have you tried the speed up trick?
Fred232
MemberNobby,
You probably have the latest, but what version of Flash are you using? I think after 10.1 its supposed to be better performing than before. Also, I think there were some settings in flash (right-click when viewing) to allow hardware acceleration etc.
I had all sorts of problems with my N220 until I finally got iPlayer 1/2 decent.

Membersorry, my fault. Mis-read.
Do you mean tapping? (things are selected when you tap the touchpad).
If so, borrowed from a previous post by ‘ __spc__ ‘ – for W7 it looks like this – http://i1009.photobucket.com/albums/af211/__spc__/sammynetbook/tap.jpg
It should be similar on XP I think.
Or is there a synaptic touchpad icon in your system tray icon area? On my PC I can enable or disable tapping by right-clicking that as well.
Have you installed the touchpad driver?
Fred232
Memberdyoungone, welcome to the forum.
On my N220 (with W7) its:
1 to turn it on and off.
or
2 Menu – Control panel – Mouse – Device Settings – Disable. to disable it.I guess XP (if you are using that) will be similar.
Hope it helps
Fred232
MemberThanks for testing.
VLC and GOM were loaded after I noticed W MP wasn’t playing them with sound, but I did load the BBC iPlayer and Quicktime before hand. Or maybe its the codec pack you have, but MS claim W MP12 plays them on starter by default?
Investigating…
Fred232
MemberThats a shame, worked a treat when I tried either.
One thing occurs to me, are you in the UK? Its only the UK N220s that have the Broadcom HD decoder I believe, if yours hasn’t got it maybe it cannot decode these files in HD, hence the stutter. If yours does have it, have you upgraded the drivers for that?
Look in Control Panel – Device Manager – Sound, video and Game controllers Do you have ‘Broadcom CrystalHD Video Decoder’ listed. If so select it and right-click – properties. Under the Driver tab, what driver version do you have? Mine is listed as 3.7.20.0 and dated 31/05/2010. If yours is lower/older than this, you could try updating them. See – http://www.broadcom.com/support/crystal_hd/ (Its shown as 3.5.0 on the site). This should help the HD stuttering hopefully.
So, just to be sure, VLC has no sound and stutters, GOM and W MP12 have no sound, is that correct?
Have you loaded any other media players.
Do other media files (AVIs MOVs etc) play correctly in any of your loaded playersI did ask specifically if anyone would try – http://www.sammymobile.com/forum/threads/14162-N220-call-for-help as well as in this post. Monitoring.
Upgrading to W HP is hard to say. It depends on what the problem actually is. It may help, it may not.
Fred232
MemberBump – Anyone please (N220 owner)?
Fred232
MemberJez,
I think there may be different models of the 210, or confusion in the sales departments – http://www.shop.bt.com/products/samsung-nf210—intel-atom-dual-core-n550—1gb-ram-250gb—windows-7-starter—10-1–screen-netbook-7620.html
I wonder how much better the dual core really is? (quite a bit I hope). Or have I made a mistake? Have I read that right? BT cheaper than Amazon!!!
Fred232
MemberI’ve no details for sure, but this – http://www.netbooknews.com/7870/samsung-nf110-nf210-and-nf310-series-netbook-hands-on-ifa-2010/ – claims 11hrs for the NF310 and 14.5hrs for the NF210. But I’ve seen other figures quoted as well, about 9 hrs for the NF310 and 10.7hrs for the NF210 on other sites.
I guess its best to wait for a review of both after they are for sale (soon).
Unless someone has definite figures?
